@@spencerjones7809 Building up pressure will not help. As you heard... it is the pressure that comes with a fast moving server like hermitcraft that can be very intimedating to get back into again. I am certain none of the hermits gave him the feeling of having to come back and still it was hard to reconnect. Do you really want to say that his content would have been better, if he, we or some of the hermits would habe tried to force him back into? This would have been nightmare to make and to watch as well as a big risk for mental health. I prefer a sudden but healthy break over someone who gets the feeling he has to deliver like a machine to stay relevant. Creators are still humans and especially Iskall is far from being lazy or unreliable by default. He needed a break and instead of making it seem like we or he should have pushed though it no matter the risk and cost, we should be looking forward to see a new motivated and well rested Iskall in the right mindset and with a new diorite burning fire within him.
The update is very much appreciated, Iskall! While I think we all definitely missed you in this season of Hermitcraft, we can only be understanding. The pressure after a long leave like that in comparison to the short season, and with all the expectations of collaboration and completion, that's (o)mega stressful. I have been watching Etho for years and have learned that quantity is not quality no matter how many weeks or days are left until the season ends he will only post videos when he feels good and motivated and his follower base knows it. We missed you Iskall. I watched some of your vault hunters streams, and I am hoping you are doing better now. It is really disapointing to hear some of the things people said about you. You put in tons of hard work to make fantastic episodes, and its really sad that some people dont understand that. The whole "You should join boatem", or "your videos are boring because you dont play with other hermits" is crap. You deserve better for your efforts. Your personality, in all honesty, is the main reason I love your videos. The edits, intros, thinking sessions, is genuinely enjoyable to watch. I hope going forward that these comments stop, and you find yourself in a more positive state of mind. I wish you all the best Iskall.
It's so frustrating how people think that the creators owe them everything. Like, we get constant free entertainment and don't have to give back anything in return. Iskall deserved a break because I bet this job can get tiring, especially when you're ill
@@buckethead60 I agree. its annoying that people were messaging and emailing and tweeting at him constantly when he's clearly taking a break for whatever reason he wants to. what many don't seem to realise is that creators have lives too. they don't exist just to entertain us. many have main jobs too and youtube is only secondary. I hate how people expect constant new content and expect creators to drop everything to make it. there's countless creators on youtube, if your favorite is taking a break, watch someone else for a while.

Etho has been my favorite Minecraft youtuber since I was in middle school, I am now entering my 4th year of College and that has not changed. Your dynamic with him is one of the most entertaining things I have seen on his channel, and I love your excitement for the game, combined with the controlled chaos you two can come up with. Please do more with him!

The only people that didn't finish this season, are the same people who are notorious for not finishing seasons. Stressmonster, etho, and iskall, are like the holy triumvirate of never gonna be on, never gonna finish a project of hermit craft. Honestly, I'd really like to see what any of these guys do when they actually finish a project on hermit craft.

You could theoretically still find a place in the storyline, maybe there was some kind of secret survival doomsday-bunker or some kind of that, and I actually red a bunch of comments on hermitcraft-related videos with theories that try to include you in the lore, so that's not really a problem but a little mistery!

Sometimes things can get "dark" and you might just run entirely out of the motivation needed to keep going. And it's 100% alright to take the time needed to "heal". I have been watching some of your streams and i, even if not entirely, understand how all must feel. But when i'm unmotivated i try and focus on the things that really make life worth living. When the darkness cuts deep you should try and hold onto what brightens your day. I really do hope you are feeling better about everything. Come back when you're ready! It's important to recharge, creativity is fleeting and motivation is moreso. I def missed you at the end of the season but always figured you were just taking care of yourself.
Yes, this season was great getting to watch two of my favorite members on the server base together. Maybe this idea is something you can do again in the future or even get another person involved in making the chaos base with the sign board.
Honestly a year ago i would have clicked the video with excitement but unfortunately that feeling is gone now. While i don't blame iskall for breaks, i can't see myself watching his videos with real joy again or even click on it either. It has been a great run tho.
He's a bad lier, he hasn't been ill. He's been streaming his Vault Hunters on twitch (you can even check his past broadcasts.) I've lost a lot of interest in iskall as well, good that he's made a mod for Minecraft with built in twitch buyer incentives, big brain to be honest. One thing he could of done to keep his TH-cam alive is edit or hire an editor to edit his twitch vault hunters into a series.
During the time you were "dead" , i binge watched a few videos of the season 6 Hermitcraft videos.... And honestly, that was the funniest season. You seemed so excited and enthusiastic by the aquatic and nether update. I hope to see that same amount of joy and excitement in season 9. Thank you iskallMAN

The edited videos for vault hunter were nice though, from when it first started. When the decision was made to not hermitcraft I’d have liked to see those continue.

Even if this season was short i love this base. It reminds me how I build, I really like terraforming on top of the land and hiding secret bases everywhere. It's not a style I see alot of other people do. Can't wait for season 9.

To me season 8 was a bit of a misstep for hermitcraft. While I loved the boatem stuff I felt like there was a distinct lack of variety that made the other seasons so great. Maybe because of the lack of a shopping district or the time constraints. Glad to hear you'll be back for season 9
It felt so underdone. Seasons 6 and Seven had so much that went on after the bases were set up, and I was looking forward to see how boatem vs octagon vs big eyes district would play out over the long run.

We missed you Iskall. I watched some of your vault hunters streams, and I am hoping you are doing better now. It is really disapointing to hear some of the things people said about you. You put in tons of hard work to make fantastic episodes, and its really sad that some people dont understand that. The whole "You should join boatem", or "your videos are boring because you dont play with other hermits" is crap. You deserve better for your efforts. Your personality, in all honesty, is the main reason I love your videos. The edits, intros, thinking sessions, is genuinely enjoyable to watch. I hope going forward that these comments stop, and you find yourself in a more positive state of mind. I wish you all the best Iskall.
It's so frustrating how people think that the creators owe them everything. Like, we get constant free entertainment and don't have to give back anything in return. Iskall deserved a break because I bet this job can get tiring, especially when you're ill
@@buckethead60 I agree. its annoying that people were messaging and emailing and tweeting at him constantly when he's clearly taking a break for whatever reason he wants to. what many don't seem to realise is that creators have lives too. they don't exist just to entertain us. many have main jobs too and youtube is only secondary. I hate how people expect constant new content and expect creators to drop everything to make it. there's countless creators on youtube, if your favorite is taking a break, watch someone else for a while.

Etho has been my favorite Minecraft youtuber since I was in middle school, I am now entering my 4th year of College and that has not changed. Your dynamic with him is one of the most entertaining things I have seen on his channel, and I love your excitement for the game, combined with the controlled chaos you two can come up with. Please do more with him!

The only people that didn't finish this season, are the same people who are notorious for not finishing seasons. Stressmonster, etho, and iskall, are like the holy triumvirate of never gonna be on, never gonna finish a project of hermit craft.

You could theoretically still find a place in the storyline, maybe there was some kind of secret survival doomsday-bunker or some kind of that, and I actually red a bunch of comments on hermitcraft-related videos with theories that try to include you in the lore, so that's not really a problem but a little mistery!

Hey Iskall! First of all I'm so glad to have you back on TH-cam! Also i wanted to say it's all right. Sometimes things can get "dark" and you might just run entirely out of the motivation needed to keep going. And it's 100% alright to take the time needed to "heal". I have been watching some of your streams and i, even if not entirely, understand how all must feel. But when i'm unmotivated i try and focus on the things that really make life worth living. When the darkness cuts deep you should try and hold onto what brightens your day. I really do hope you are feeling better about everything. Come back when you're ready! It's important to recharge, creativity is fleeting and motivation is moreso. I def missed you at the end of the season but always figured you were just taking care of yourself.

Yes, this season was great getting to watch two of my favorite members on the server base together. Maybe this idea is something you can do again in the future or even get another person involved in making the chaos base with the sign board.

Honestly a year ago i would have clicked the video with excitement but unfortunately that feeling is gone now. While i don't blame iskall for breaks, i can't see myself watching his videos with real joy again or even click on it either. It has been a great run tho.
He's a bad lier, he hasn't been ill. He's been streaming his Vault Hunters on twitch (you can even check his past broadcasts.)
I've lost a lot of interest in iskall as well, good that he's made a mod for Minecraft with built in twitch buyer incentives, big brain to be honest.
One thing he could of done to keep his TH-cam alive is edit or hire an editor to edit his twitch vault hunters into a series.
During the time you were "dead" , i binge watched a few videos of the season 6 Hermitcraft videos.... And honestly, that was the funniest season. You seemed so excited and enthusiastic by the aquatic and nether update. I hope to see that same amount of joy and excitement in season 9. Thank you iskallMAN

As an artist I understand what it feels like to not be motivated about a creative project and not be able to pour yourself into it and that can be it’s own cycle of shame and feeling defeated. I had this exactly. At a given moment the streams where going so hard I could not keep up with watching them back. But the concept of vault hunters looked so cool and interesting

Even if this season was short i love this base. It reminds me how I build, I really like terraforming on top of the land and hiding secret bases everywhere. It's not a style I see alot of other people do.

To me season 8 was a bit of a misstep for hermitcraft. While I loved the boatem stuff I felt like there was a distinct lack of variety that made the other seasons so great. Maybe because of the lack of a shopping district or the time constraints. Glad to hear you'll be back for season 9
Very big agree. It's so weird that so many fans online say it's their favorite when even Xisuma himself thought it was the worst season.
It felt so underdone. Seasons 6 and Seven had so much that went on after the bases were set up, and I was looking forward to see how boatem vs octagon vs big eyes district would play out over the long run.
Everytime I hear your voice I can't help but smile. Even when I have a bad day and I hope your days get better going into season 9. We will never be disappointed.
