i always felt like the "John" Mentioned at 3:17 is a reference to Stanley Gimble, the prosthetic guy in Santa Monica. It was a cool moment to hear "oh John gnawed off his arm and escaped" and then you think back to the previous area and go "heyy... wait a second, i met a guy with a missing arm and he was pretty messed up"
I think that's somewhat of a forced connection. I mean, ostensibly, Stanley Gimble's name is... you know, Stanley, and he actually tells you he chopped off his own hand, which is just insane enough to be believed. I mean, why would you lie about something like that? it only makes you seem unhinged, which you'd like to avoid if you're actually a serial killer. :P Still, thank you for taking time to comment!
@@LittleDwarf5 You know, that's a very fair point. I haven't played the game in a while, and while it too is definitely one of my favourite games, you have spent a decent amount of time documenting every single aspect of the game. Thank you for your corrections!
@@49crows I assume you have seen my easter egg videos for Bloodlines? I am really proud of them and I recommend them in good conscience if you're a fan of the game. I think they showcase some pretty fun, less well known things. Have a good day either way, thanks for dropping by!
@@LittleDwarf5 yes I have!! I was confused why the John thing wasn’t mentioned when you brought up the easter eggs in Alister Grout’s mansion , but with your notes here, i totally see why. You do great work!
You kinda do. He's just... a little less... lively... than the other Kindred. xD (Although I've always wondered why did his corpse leave bones if the other vampires in game turn to dust when killed. Was it a mistake or a clue?)
@@LittleDwarf5 hahah yeah... good one... welll maybe they left a space for him to show up in the sequels... i mean as a character grout didnt care much for publicity and stuff... he is like a beckett, just into science, psychology...
@@hanswesterman1693 To be honest, I think that could work. After all - the recordings here prove that he KNEW he was in danger and that he strongly suspected LaCroix of being the source of that danger. So he could have easily tried to fake his own death and then go into hiding - especially since Bach burning down the mansion would erase all of the loose ends in that deception and eliminate the possibility of anyone REALLY taking a closer look at what was supposed to be "Grout's" corpse. I guess we'll see when Bloodlines 2 comes out. I will definitely play it, even though at this point I'm kinda worried about it.
@@LittleDwarf5 yeah kind of... i mean there is space for that... i really hope they l make it in the same manner.. although we expect at least to be able to see the higher class, the elders and stuff... for instance to travel to other countries and places etc... fact is they have the needs, the model and the story to make all of that...
@@LittleDwarf5 the malkavian dialogue unfortunately reveals that he/she no longer hears grout in the madness network, and i believe the madness network is global but their is a possibilty he is still alive i hope he is it's just slim, and he'd probably never leave his wife too such a shame he seemed like a very interesting character i hope he is talked about or in a prequel or something
