This guy's commitment to his job is admirable. And he also has the ability of being able to communicate what is he doing in a way we can understand what them guys are doing.
Every time i see Thomas Blug, he seems so nice and like he really loves what he's doing with his Amp X device. You can tell he's putting his all into the device and not trying to just sell people stuff to get a quick buck.
Love this guys commitment and brain. Looking forward to this and seriously considering it when it drops of making the change to a floor amp. Hope we get to watch you demo it in the future.
I’ve had the iridium for 3ish years now. Maybe 4. The amp has been the single biggest development to my tone. I’m too stoked for the AmpX and I wish it was out already. I cannot wait for it!!
@@FubuZ-j4c Yes, but what he's just said in this video could've been sent in an email to people who've signed up. Otherwise, why have a sign up for email if you're not doing updates?
@@Scott__C I did get the initial post since i'm also subscribed to their newsletter when AMP X was announced. I like to clearly know what I'm subscribing to. It states on their website under the AMP X landing page: "Subscribe to our newsletter and don't miss any news regarding the release of the AMP X!". So where there any actual news regarding release? There is enough info about the development updates of amp x on their social media including TH-cam. We also need to understand that this is not some big guitar company with employees to spare in different departments.
I've been using the Iridium for years now. It's currently a power amp for my ToneX/HX Stomp setup. I can't wait for this unit to replace my entire setup.
I had a JMP-1 and could never get on with it. The first edition (Silver version) that I have sounds sooooo good that after 40 years of touring Marshall amps professionally, I have now sold all my Marshalls and use the Amp1 exclusively.
Gotta love an equipment designer who makes a controll pedal that doesn't wear. Goes against the world manufacturing model of making things that don't last to increase profit.
I still have an issue with this power amp saturation that perfectly occur when loaded with real big cab impedance, even if you use an IR. Loading the impedance sim always leads to weaken sounds in my amp1 experience. Have the fear AmpX will be the same, mostly a live show unit, not something to enjoy in quiet studio environment.
SonicDrive - - can you make a recommendation for a practice budget guitar amp modeler/fx box - ideally below 300 $ PLEASE ????? Something that has a one or a handful of really pro quality guitar amp model and cab IR and effect ??? Please
I really love Amp 1 and thomas' commitment BUT I think he let news of developing this Amp X out too soon! Musicians are not known for their patience!😁 he would have been better off announcing it one month before release.
If it can actually compete and replicate the sound of most Engl Amps I’d be pretty freakn impressed. They ALL say they can nail amp tones perfectly and they all come close, and sometimes sound great, but never 100%. If they can literally exactly replicate a few Engl heads perfectly, that’d be absolutely insane
To be fair, we would probably then be the first to complain that he should have waited until it was more ready to go with all the bugs we would encounter & the lack of the ability to update/upgrade.
@@michaelgotthardt4727 Well we will get bugs even after waiting 10 years for this thing. And if it doesn't support updates then it will be obsolete even faster than it has taken to develope.
AMPX is an digital unit , use IR digital out as all digital unit arround ,,, final sound is digital ! ,, analog units have analog passive cab speaker sim as out for mixer pr PA for analog sound !. that is all story about this comedy
What if you don't use digital IRs? Is it analog then lol? Amp1 one has analog "cab sim" output and it's just a small filter assembly (eq), doesn't sound that good. For it to manage a complex frequency response it should be way more complex, right? The feel and sound of AMP1 is analog. You have speaker out and well as lineout. In the end, it doesn't matter at all if it delivers amazing tones.

The "wings" system is genious!! No need for a pedalboard if you use a couple of external pedals!! I love that!!
Killer! Im very very excited for the Amp X since it was announced!
Let's use this terminology moving forward:
Modelling -> Digital
Replication -> Analog recreation
The Amp One is so good ! Amazing sound if you like warm tube and 100 watts ♥️💪
That thing looks pretty awesome! I only just heard of BluGuitar a couple days ago. Interesting stuff!
Will never casually ask “how’s it going” again 😂
😂
😆
EXCELLENT...Thank you!!!
Thomas Blug is such a nice guy, isn't he...??? 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
I’m sure the original marketing for Amp X featured Stevie Ray Vaughan playing a prototype!
😂😂😂😂
Rumor has it Jim Marshall based his JTM45 on a prototype of Amp X that someone brought in for repairs.
The timing of the clapping was perfect 😂
Hahaha!
It has X wings!!!
I signed up for updates from blu guitar on this product ages ago ,not had one email or any comms at all .
If you are after brands and products that focus much more on marketing blahblah instead of quality products, BluGuitar is not for you.

An expression pedal with a hall effect controller? Very nice.
Fuck yeah

interesting solution you can combine both and use iridium as power stage for the hx stomp
How sound hi gain in Iridium? In the videos sound a little thin. Not much low end…what is your experience about this?
@@suavonman9539 It's very modern and fat. Closest thing I can compare it to would be like a little brother to an Engl.

I hope and pray Thomas put in a choice of reistors that mimic a 3H or 5H to 10H choke. The 10H ESPECIALLY for Metal tones.
Any new demos from guitar summit on the amp x? havent seen anyone post anything ;D the thing seems really cool!!
I have already promised myself not to get Fractal FM9 until this thing is out and I can make comparison of them. I've saved so much money so far 🤣

This seems more up my speed. Not too many options like my fractal fm3 turbo.
