Just filmed talking heads for a business client with just a website, yesterday, thinking hard about how to spice it up. Then you posted this tutorial and saved the day. Thank you.

I appreciate the step by step with explanations. So many times I see someone do something without the why are they adjusting some settings.

This is really cool, but how would you implement it on the web page? Would it just be a landing page video? An advertisement for the webpage? What is the practical use of this awesome technique?

Great tutorial. If I may add... using Photoshop to isolate different elements of the webpage really speeds up the entire process for me. I know its not an Apple product but it works well with Apple Motion as you can import all individual layers created in Photoshop.

Hey excellent tutorial! Subbed and liked. I think I’m going to go ahead and get Motion instead of doing things in keynote.

Really nice tutorial. Didn’t know about flatten layers. Very useful, thanks. Have subscribed and recommended your channel to my daughter who is into art and graphic design.

Wonderful work Madame. I wonder if the graphic files could be repaired in Pixelmator Pro, then exported as a Motion project. Could this work?

  • @BrunoMaestrini

YES! :D I ended up doing something similar in my video and turned it in last week. I used a 3D approach and had the pages seemingly flying around, but it was the camera going from one page to the other. Thank you so much for this, there are a lot of tips I can use on future projects!

FYI - Chrome has a built-in "full page screenshot" feature which would make that first part way easier for you (right-click "inspect", Ctrl-Shift-P, type "screenshot")

Thank you so much! I’ve been looking for a tutorial like this more months. Can you do a video on how to animate hand drawn arrows to pictures or a highlighter effect to text? (Similar to a Vox style edit)

As always I learned a lot from this tutorial but I'm missing the point of the project. What is the use for this Motion project? What would the client do with it?

Hello Jenn. What about using Pixelmator Pro to join and adjust these three screenshots together as a one image file, then brought into Motion ?

at 3:40 is Z toward and away from camera? (your face?) oh. now I zee it. Z positive is toward your face? I work with CNC machines. x and y are on the horizontal plane and z positive is up toward the sky.

Hi Jenn, great tutorial(s), very usefull! Can you give me a auggestion on how I can make a sidebar appear in my video, and when the sidebar enters the canvas, the rest of the video MOVES to the SIDE. I can’t find ANYWHERE on the internet on how to do this. Can you push me in the right direction?

It sounds like you could just keyframe the movement on the x position.
