Alex Hirsh actually recently revealed this on a gravity falls podcast but in the treasure chest, there was a note that said "______ was here" (I forget the name) and people just assumed it was another fan or crew member who got there first. But apparently some random 14yo kid who lived in the area found it like a month before the end of the show and he posted it on an unsolved mysteries subreddit. The kid had no idea what gravity falls was, he just thought he found some random statue The crew found the post and Alex got into contact with the kid, literally called him and bribed him with $100 to take down the post and never tell anyone. The kid agreed only with the caveat that he got to have credit as the person who found it first. So he left that note in the treasure chest!

It could be because of the heavy censorship but it definitely felt like they fell in love over time leading to the last episode where It was obviously states it as opposed to them being in love the whole time
In addition to what was said about Time Baby, in the short with The Mailbox, they ask it when the end of the world is and it says 3012 (1000 years after the events of the show)
I can see that you guys really enjoyed this show because i think ive never seen yall do an entire podcast to one show. Gravity Falls will go down in history as one of the best western cartoon shows for eternity

Alex: Can i make this extra dimensional being rearrange the holes in someone's face? Disney: Sure Alex: Can these two guys show affection? Also Disney: Dear god no, what is wrong with you!? Children are watching.
That's interesting, because they allowed two girls to show affection on The Owl House. There are a lot of LGBTQ+ characters on there. Two girls who are bi, a girl with two dads, a couple of pansexuals, a non-binary character (there's a mention of a second, but I don't think they were shown), and an asexual. That's among the major characters. They also had a cute older lesbian couple.
@@METerrell That's because the the Owl has came out much later than Gravity Falls, some of these things are more "corporate socially acceptable" since time has passed. Second this. The Owl House is one of Disneys greatest cartoons, and Amphibia is amazing too, it has some of the best episodes in Disney cartoon history.

This was a great send off to a great series, my only issue is I wish someone had explained the axolotl thing to you guys because it goes a lot deeper Hopefully someone will bring it up in a future podcast
Adventure time is soooo good. The beginning is a little simplistic, but it just keeps building and building throughout the seasons, adding depth and maturity, turning into a show that’s very dear to my heart. Also, there’s a hidden snail in almost every episode… ;)
What I love is that when people started figuring out the Twin thing, they gave a red herring instead of completely changing course. So many shows will have a plan and then change it to make no sense when people get to close (i.e. pretty little liars), but this show stuck to the plan. Also I think the reason Mable is close but not actually annoying is because she isn't dumb, like she is extravagant and loud but she sees things too and is always willing to help people. Usually characters like her, they play off as ignorantly selfish.
I've seen some Gravity Falls Reactions, and about the ciphers most of them just look them up, i think i've seen one that was doing it offscreen but stopped cuz it were mostly jokes with nothing really important. But you guys were so fun to watch! Watching you look for the keys and cracking the codes, and how you were genuinely loving the show, it was just so cool. I was a kid when watching some Gravity Falls on tv, so i didn't participate on treasure hunts and keys and codes, i discovered all of that after, but with you're reactions i felt like i was experiencing that too. Thank you, it was the best reaction series i've watched, for anything really 😁

"It's Bill, obviously he's alive!" "Maybe Alex Hirsch is begging for a third season!" So *congratulations* you are now officially a Gravity Falls fan
I just thought of a suggestion. It's getting to be fall and I wanted to recommend another "cartoon" series that's related to this time of the year. "Over the Garden Wall" It very much has the large age appeal like Gravity Falls. It has wonderful songs, stories, and characters and I think it would be a good time watching it.
Axolotls are named after the Aztec god Xolotl, the twin of Quetzalcoatl (incidentally making him the god of twins) whose divine duty was to escort the souls of the departed safely into the realm of the dead and escorting the sun through the realm of the dead at night so that it could rise next morning. Aside from being a thanatosian twilight deity, Xolotl was also the god of monsters and deformities and was regarded as the personification of Venus, the Evening Star... Makes sense that an entity so connected with some central themes of Gravity Falls would be the top god of the setting. Also makes sense that Bill would call out to such an entity in his dying moments.
I had such a fun time watching you guys deep dive into each episode. And y’all said it; a great reveal to a mystery, doesn’t happen from nothing. There are breadcrumbs to follow, and when you finally reach the end point, you just feel satisfied and rewarded.
I remember watching this show when I was a little kid when it was airing. Solving all the ciphers and puzzles while everyone was figuring out the big secrets was so much fun and is now a big part of my childhood. I’m so glad 10 years later people are still enjoying this amazing show :)
Really hope gravity falls comes back in some capacity some day. It had such a unique aura around it that almost makes me nostalgic for it even though I watched it with the crew. This is definitely gonna be one of those shows I’ll check in and see if there’s any news of a revival every few months just in case
A bit "late to the party" but I definitely enjoyed binging and watching your journey with Gravity Falls. I can't remember how many times I've had the tendency of playing this show in the background in the summer, but it's without a doubt one of the most well-written animated series I'd ever had the pleasure of experiencing. (I definitely credit my nieces and nephews for vouching the series for me back when it was running.) Although I feel like even if I put this series down for years and watch/read other things, it never loses the 'magic' it held the first time I experienced it; which is something you don't often see in other animated series from the West to such a degree. And just to ensure this series continues to remain alive in another generation, I've recently customized a Dipper Pine's Hat for my younger nephew's belated birthday recently; along with Journal 3 that I found on Amazon.
I'm going to recommend that you guys consider watching Over the Garden Wall with how much you loved Gravity Falls. It's super short (basically movie length) and is themed for October.
Well guys if your looking for more shows that have all the great elements you've come from Gravity Falls, I recommend you guys giving either DuckTales, Amphibia or The Owl House a good watch. Anyway before I leave, *"REALITY IS AN ILLUSION, THE UNIVERSE IS A HOLOGRAM, BYE GOLD BYYYYYE!"*
I totally agree with Rick’s daughter. I started watching this show solely so I could watch and understand your reactions. By the end of the series, I was in love with the show, thanks in part to you guys. Your reactions always enhance the experience for me.
I sincerely hope somewhere down the line you will also add Amphibia and The Owl House to your polls, as they were created by fellow animators of Alex Hirsch's team; who he generously assisted by voice characters in their own projects. Much like Gravity Falls they are surprisingly more than what they are marketed as (seemingly projecting to "ages 6-11"), and honestly even without the puzzles and such that Gravity Falls was known for, they really stick with you. It's just great writing in the world building, stories, but most of all the characters.
I can’t believe I missed this stream and actually forgot about it until today considering that gravity falls is my favorite show, blind wave are by far my favorite reactors, and this is prolly my favorite reaction series of theirs
I would love more series specific podcasts in the future! Also, a lot of people mention The Owl House and Amphibia, which I'm glad for, but not that many mention Infinity Train. So yeah, Infinity Train could also be good, looking for something similar, but also different. I know it works with replacement polls, and it already happened with Gravity Falls, I'm just putting the title out there, give it more chance to stick.
Eric is right, Fringe would be so deserving of a worldwide hint hunt but I know it’s somehow still an under appreciated show. Hopefully once you start reacting to it, people start waking up to its brilliance.

Dipper and Mabel and the Curse of the Time Pirates' Treasure! either is a book of short adventures that continue the story or contains at least 1 story that continues the story.
ABSOLUTELY consider Amphibia. It's technically set in the same continuity as Gravity Falls and makes some huge references to it. The Owl House is as well, but that's probably less up your alley.
@@GamingMorron season 2 of owl house is the biggest jump in quality I've ever seen in a tv show. You can tell that the last few episodes of season 1 was where Dana really got to make the show she had in mind
Amphibia has absolutely phenomenal season finales but the majority of it can be pretty slow and dull. It would be harder for them to react to in my opinion
@@grants9282 I couldn't agree less, the only part of it I've found to be slow and dull was the first half of season 3. I suppose the first part of the show isn't very plot-centric but neither is Gravity Falls. It's pretty well paced across its three seasons. It's also nice to get two stories per episode.
@@grants9282 I agree. Season 1 is kind of rough. It's definitely enjoyable and there's some good animation, but there's a lot of episodes that just don't have a huge amount of value on their own. Season 2, however, is absolutely phenomenal and a great ride the whole way through.
Amazing! My all time favourite show! Glad to see the Twitch stream released here! Really brings me back to the time they talked about Avatar Last Airbender!
I'm pretty sure my first ever TH-cam comment was on a 'The Royal Order Of The Holy Mackerel' theory video about Dipper's real name and I ended up being right, which was well before the journal came out and actually revealed it.
My friend bought me the 3rd journal for my birthday, and on the cover there was a little tag from Stan saying "buy it twice!" So my friend actually had to pay double the amount for the book lol
The hunt was amazing! I couldn't do anything myself for it but just following it every day was great. The puzzle really was the hardest part. It took SO LONG. So proud of everyone that was involved. They sadly had to change the location of the statue but I hope I can visit it one day.
gravity falls is one of my favorite shows and watching the reactions to it has been really fun, like watching it over for the first time again :D id recommend doing over the garden wall & the owl house at some point, theyre both on the same level of quality to me and a very fun watch!

Anyway before I leave,
*"REALITY IS AN ILLUSION, THE UNIVERSE IS A HOLOGRAM, BYE GOLD BYYYYYE!"*
Duck tales when?
It had a very gravity falls feel
Oh that be fun
I’ve literally been a fan since the show came out, and I had no idea Dippers actual name was Mason
Nothing more beautiful than some adults taking a kid show as seriously as possible
I hope someday you guys get the Lost Legends graphic novel! Four new stories to read. Or you could watch the excellent fan dub on TH-cam!
This is awesome. Gravity Falls is so good and I'm happy you guys had enjoyed watching it. Love the reactions
Gravity falls is such a good show and I am so happy you guys watched it. This and phineas and ferb are my favorite cartoons
Eric is right, Fringe would be so deserving of a worldwide hint hunt but I know it’s somehow still an under appreciated show. Hopefully once you start reacting to it, people start waking up to its brilliance.
I’m truly hoping after they finish Lost. In one of the videos, maybe in mailbag, Eric really pushed hard for it after Lost is done.
14:46: Wait. Did your guys' editor make a shorter version of the "Between the Pines" video? That's hilarious! 😂
I'm sure if they watched the full one, youtube might take it down. But it sucksssss. I want them to watch the full ver so bad!
@@Duchessofweirdness they watced the shorter one on the podcast for the sake of time
Definitely watch Adventure Time next It’s one of those “kids” cartoons that you can enjoy as an adult.
I remember how crazy the hut was and to see all those people work together was just so amazing.
1:33:34 Matpat Jumpscare! 📽
This was a wonderful journey revisiting my favourite show, only this time I got to watch the Blind Wave crew slowly noticing all the little ciphers and secrets!🌟
The Owl House would definitely be intriguing for them! Season 2 especially!
We'll meet again
Don't know where
Don't know when
But i know we'll meet again some sunny day!
You're leaving Gravity Falls
14:48 MR. DORITO
There is still the stuff from the comics/journals and the Axolotl, that Bill mentioned.
Amazing! My all time favourite show! Glad to see the Twitch stream released here! Really brings me back to the time they talked about Avatar Last Airbender!
That intro is still 🔥
this intro was so cute
"Alex you made a show for children" - random twitter user complaining about Alex Hirsch swearing in his tweets
"I made a show for me" - Alex Hirsch
I'm pretty sure my first ever TH-cam comment was on a 'The Royal Order Of The Holy Mackerel' theory video about Dipper's real name and I ended up being right, which was well before the journal came out and actually revealed it.
3:14 "Dan Vs." is the epitome of this
I don’t care WHO the IRS sends, I am NOT paying taxes!
The treasure we got is not material it truly is the journey and the show itself
it was a great journey with you guys your reactions are awesome and im so happy you loved the show so much
They haven't watched every episode.
My friend bought me the 3rd journal for my birthday, and on the cover there was a little tag from Stan saying "buy it twice!" So my friend actually had to pay double the amount for the book lol
You guys are really cool
I love the idea of a gravity falls point and click game! I want to play that now.
You should watch the 10th anniversary special as well. It gives a lot of insight and perspective form Alex Hirsh's side.
The hunt was amazing! I couldn't do anything myself for it but just following it every day was great. The puzzle really was the hardest part. It took SO LONG. So proud of everyone that was involved. They sadly had to change the location of the statue but I hope I can visit it one day.
I'll miss looking forward to ur reactions every Saturday hahah, now onto Ben 10!
To me Mabel is like Alexis from Schitt's Creek. I would usually HATE them... but something about them is perfectly balanced.
I bet Rick is going ham for The Book Of Bill.
In the gravity falls journals there is a code that translates to Rick was here meaning Rick from Rick and Morty
The best reactions yet
gravity falls is one of my favorite shows and watching the reactions to it has been really fun, like watching it over for the first time again :D id recommend doing over the garden wall & the owl house at some point, theyre both on the same level of quality to me and a very fun watch!
