I've said it before: this song is not good advertising for being blindingly beautiful. what that gets a woman is: - one Harvey Weinstein type of admirer / stalker, type "it's all her fault for being so beautiful" - one dreadful entitled frat boy - one fairly innocent, sweet-hearted admirer who projects a life-time worth of loneliness on her - one tragic, way too early death.

Notre Dame de Paris was a novel about how a young roma girl, Esméralda, turned the beast Quasimodo into human and the priest Claude Frollo into an inhuman figure. Frollo doesn't need any help from the devil, 'cause at this point that's what lust and desire have made of him : he's the portrait of a monster.
