We puchased two WD6024 units for a 10x16 pavillion. Currently december ... feeling this setup is underpowered and wont be comfortable when temps drop further. These units may be good for a porch... not open wall pavillion.

Very helpful, thanks. I am planning to heat an area about 11'x11' under my covered deck. Roof is A frame and was hoping I could install 1 heater under the peak of the A at 12.5'. One manufacturer has told me 4kw 60" heater at 12.5' overhead will heat 12'x12' area and if I mount it any lower people's heads will get too hot. We are in Seattle climate. What is your suggestion if I go with Infratech?

Hi Ron. I manage the social media. I recommend calling the store at (303) 800-5659 or using our online salesman to get specific info. There is probably some install info and safety precautions when you install the unit. Some of these heaters do get hot!

What would you recommend for an 8x12 open pergola (over a dining area), ideally somethin comfortable down to 50 degrees

Can you have dimmers on the solid state controls? Like a simple dial to set a timer, but also a control for the output so you're not roasting in relatively mild temps

      I believe so.

What size/wattage are the 4 heaters in your space? We are building 20’x18’ covered pavilion, so it would be helpful reference to know which ones you are using in your 20’x10’ space. Thanks!

@@embersliving thanks! We are building an 18x20 covered pavilion. Open walls. Will have dining seating as well as outdoor kitchen and bar seating. I was thinking four CD-4000 or CD-5000, but a local distributor recommended four CD-6000. Seemed overkill to me. Same reaction?

Looking at an 11' x 33' covered patio open on three sides. One side is against the house. It's in Upstate NY so we get some cold temps. Probably won't be used when it's really cold but you never know. Only have 7.5' of height to work with. I was thinking four 3000 watt units on each 33' side. So four on the house and four on the outside "wall". My experience with these types of radiant heat is that your legs are cold from the knees down. Do you find that to be an issue? I think the owner would also be interested in using the dimmers to control all of the heaters in unison from his phone. He is also looking at installing shades like you have at your house. Do you think the heating capacity is overkill? Thank you for the video. It was very helpful. BTW I used to work for RK Mechanical in Denver years ago. Loved it there! Thanks for the help!

thanks Tom! I would do 4 of the WD-40 on each side, its a tad overkill, but its better to have too many then not enough

Do the dimmers only work with the 3000 watt, 120 volt heaters? Or can they be used with the 4000 watt 208/240 volt heaters?

    • @embersliving
