I honestly wish that some young tech would come in and improve the movements to Captain Andy's area, even though they may disagree and just being fine leaving it like that.
They want to! The guy I was talking to said they want to do full restoration even saying back to "Capt. Andy’s RiverTowne" days though there is no confirmed time frame for this.
One more thing i will add is that they still actually have the paperwork manuals from the from RiverTowne and Thorpe Park days and I did ask if they have any of the original showtapes and they have looked but haven't found anything yet.
shame to see the state of the african tiki show, hope it all gets fixed up and used in a proper show like it used to be. nice to see goosey gander though (i do prefer the gulliver's tiki show geese haha)
So heartbreaking to have lost all the patriotic songs from the water show apart from one. I really thought a privately owned park would stand up to woke. My young daughter learnt her patriotic songs from there till they changed it 😢
There were more songs? The song list on this video hasn't been played since 2013 as the original family who owned the park shortened the show in 2014. The new owners who took over Watermouth Castle last year re-added the pre 2014 show. I've been going since 2017 and the ending of the show hasn't ever really changed as far as I know - the wartime songs, Land of Hope and Glory, God Save The King etc When did you last go?
