    I found my grandfather's old No.3 Kodak, aside from jumping the hurdle that 118 film doesn't really exist anymore so I'm using an adapter to use 120 no where near me develops film! So this is a huge help to me!

    I've been looking for info on the backing paper everywhere, thank you! I was gifted a Kodak Tourist many years ago. I shot one roll of 620 on it in 2016/2017, and haven't developed it. I used to have CVS do my 35mm, since they just sent it out to Kodak anyways. Even though the 620 I have is also C41, they wouldn't touch it. Gave developing 35mm a shot last year, and it came out good. Now that i have a visual of how the backing paper comes off, I will give my roll of 620 a shot! Thanks!

    Good tutorial. I probably will try saving a step by opening up the film reel first.

    Interesting to see that with the Blix you also get leakage ! 😢 I have three different tanks, no problems with b&w chemistry, with cinestill c41 always a mess with blix ! Is it normal ? Could find nothing about this, your video is the first I see hinting this may be normal!

    May I use cinefilm developing chemical for Ilford film rolls. And do I use rapid fixer after the developing chemical?

      @@film_friends How do you explain then that some labs develop 35mm and not 120? I understand that the B&W need different chemicals, but since you confirmed that for color film they use the same,i don't understand why not... Probably they dont have scanner for 120,but i told my lab,that i don't mind,i'll scan at home if that's the issue,but he told me that he has to use different chemicals...Anyway, in my area there is no film lab left,so i have to drive 100km to find one and now that i decided to shoot some 120 film,i saw that there is even less labs for 120... thank you for answering! You have a nice channel!

      @@athanasiospatsis7720 labs use machines and some dont invest in 120 sized machines.
      home developing, the spool can expand to fit 35 or 120.

    How long we can keep 120 film undeveloped?

    • @film_friends
      @film_friends  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your question! You can keep it in the fridge and it should last a year or more “unexpired” and then it goes into expired range that it can have crazy features. But if you cold store it can last a long long time. You can even freeze it which should be indefinite?
