Gosh, this is such a great solution for me. Can’t wait to try it. Looks great on the SS80 too which is the downside of some other extensions that better suit the traditional Glock.
I have used all kinds of aftermarket mags over the years, the magpul's and the ETS are good to go. I will never use ProMag unless I want to do malf drills. I have no problem getting the 9th round in on my ETS 43 mags though. I always carry OEM but I trust the ETS for backup mag.
I'm considering the 9 round with x grip for my 42...they should make an x grip for the 12 round mags too. Normally I won't use anything aftermarket for defense but I'm willing to make an exception in this case
My favorite Every Day Carry is a Glock 42 with a 9 round ETS magazine fitted with an XGRIP. I load the magazine with 8 rounds maximum, plus one in the chamber, to ensure 100% reliability. Ammo of choice is Underwood Extreme Penetrator .380+P. Very little recoil and extremely accurate!
If there is NO SPRING in that last (9) round, it will jam the slide, as on my G43. However, this combo does work well on my G42. But, with the G43 I had to trim the depth OFF the Follower of the ETS Mag to allow to load the report 9 rounds and NOT JAM THE CLOSED SLIDE. After that trim, they load easy and function. I also run the ETS-7 with a Pierce +1 baseplate only.
Lenny. Shield arms made a metal mag for the g43x that essentially made it into a 1.5 stack with the extra space it saved going metal from the polymer. BUT IT GAVE IT 5 MORE ROUNDS from the g43x normal capacity. Its called the s15. AND IT SITS FLUSH! Now here is the golden opportunity... please contact your friend at xgrips and ask him to make an xgrip that fits the s15 metal magazine... so it will be a flush grip with the standard single stack g43. BOOM! 15 rounds, same length as a standard g43x mag, xgrip makes it flush for the g43! 15 rounds in a g43 with the same length mag as g43x! Please sir! Look into this asap!
I bought the 9round ETS mag for my Mossberg mc1sc and also bought the x grip but with nine rounds in the magazine it would not go into battery. I had to take one round out of the magazine and it worked perfectly fine and went into battery. For the Mossberg mc1sc it is only an eight round magazine.

The ETS 40 mag for my 27 was junk.. constant failure to feed regardless the ammo... Love the Xgrip however, allowed me to to make my 27 a 13+1 with a true glock mag for my concealed carry needs...
I love how people will judge how a gun feels in a store completely ignoring the fact its empty lol with some guns it almost feels twice as heavy once loaded.
When is Glock going to just manufacture the mini or subcompact with the added grip? That way you can choose duty, compact, or sub compact grip? Has that even been mentioned? I use the G23 15 rd mag in my G27.
Just got my 9 rounder in the mail today, and in order to get it to seat properly in my 43 when full, I have to press it very deliberately into place until I hear it click. Is this common? I’ve seen videos of people just putting them in normally and they fit like they belong in the gun
Lenny do you carry a Gen 5 G19 sleeve for plus 2 mags that fill that stupid half moon cut out?? I like the 17 round magazine and want the sleeve to slide tastefully on them. Thanks.
Common issue when breaking in after market higher capacity magazines , plastic stretches a little. If you leave a hard to load plastic mag loaded it will be easier to load compared to factory spring tension. The mag is 9 rds and not 12 so it could have something to do with the extension. Because that 9th round should of been hard to load. Almost feels like it's only designed to load the 9th as a reload and not topped off as in that 9th or 12th round is the +1. Usually when mags are stiff this is the case. I'd also recommend carrying -1 if you carry without a round in the chamber as that extra tightness is certainly not something you see with factory mags plus common sense tells me it would increase the chances of a failure to feed
Wth, Glock is slacking man. Why won’t they release 7 and 8 round FACTORY magazines for the G43?!?! You got a smaller gun like the Sig P365 that holds 10 & 12 round factory mags. Glock needs to step their game up.
I think Sig needs to step up Their game. I really liked the new Sig as an innovative idea when it first came out. Just so many problems and Still has bad problems. The Glock works. The Sig, maybe.

I load my ETS mag for my Glock 42 to EIGHT rounds ONLY. I've never had any problems at all and I use this for my Everyday Carry. It doesn't extend the grip that much more but does allow a full purchase on the grip, an 8+1 capacity, and it still works well for pocket carry. This ETS mag when combined with the X Grip creates the perfect "Glock 42X".
So will that ETS Mag and X-Grip for the Glock 43 fit the Mossberg MC1? The Mossberg MC1 can also use Glock 43 mags so I thought I would ask if that would work for it too. Thanks!
I ordered one of these clips for $40.00 which is a fair price.....but after waiting for several weeks it hasn't arrived yet.... They email and say sorry it's being worked.... It's going on (3) weeks !
By putting that ugly ass thing on it defeats the whole purpose of having a compact single stack. At that point you might as well just go with the 19 and get double the rounds.

I got 3 ETS mags 9 rounds with the XGrip. They work fine. No issues with them.

Just got the Combo for my 43. Hopefully they come up with a x-grip for the 12 round magazine. As well as the 42.
I bought the 9round ETS mag for my Mossberg mc1sc and also bought the x grip but with nine rounds in the magazine it would not go into battery. I had to take one round out of the magazine and it worked perfectly fine and went into battery. For the Mossberg mc1sc it is only an eight round magazine.
I had my X grip now for about two years now. my G19 look awesome 17 rounds and carry a 31 rounded in my pocket. just for lows
love my x-grip on my 26. it conceals better than my 19, it's the shape that helps.
A 50 round drum is in the near future but my state is not high capacity friendly. So I'm moving and give my tax dollars to gun friendly state.

Yeah my 12rd ETS mag is tough to get loaded to full capacity too. Usually go with 11 rounds so I don’t damage the spring or anything.
I just don't load it to 12 in case there is a malfunction when loading
I load mine with 12 all the time then one in the chamber so I got 13 rounds Total never had an issue 👍🏻
The X Grip really is an excellent product.
If you have the G43 already than this is great! If you don’t have the G43 just get the 43X instead.

No. The Glock 43 and 43x mags are not compatible. The 43x mags are just a little thicker and won't work in the 43
