*Great reel, **enjoyable.fishing** recommend very smooth and I love that you can change from left hand to right hand so easily. Gave it a 4 on durability because I haven’t had it long enough to rate it. Doing good so far.*
Would you say fishing around marina boat slips and individual boat docks are the best pattern in Cherokee lake? Haven’t been able to find many brush piles. Also is April the best month for crappie on this lake?
I would say November-April are the best months. Yes fishing docks are the quickest way to catch a limit on Cherokee in my opinion when they are schooled under them. When they aren’t school you can still catch them because they are always there. Some days easier to catch then others. We also catch them off the end of trees laying in the water this time of year too and bridge pillars.
@@justreelfishing2002 I've been out twice this week looking for them and it's not on yet or it's already over, I can't figure them out. This time last year we were killing them. I'm headed out tomorrow and see if I can figure something out, if I do, I'll let y'all know.
@@cherokeelaketennessee7895 we will be down that way today. I told Jesse to load the boat for crappie and bass. We get on them we will let you know. Holler at us if you see us out.
I heard you mention to the guy on the dock that you also used a 5’6 acc crappie stix for dock shooting also. I have a 7.6 and 10 footer acc that I use and the 7.6 I use sometimes for shooting docks. Just wondering how you like the 5.6 dock shooter been on the fence for a while about getting that one.
I just put the 5’6” back in the boat I got on the fish in a place so tight if I had tried shooting the longer rods I would have broke the tips off . I had to vertical jig them but there were some good ones underneath I couldn’t get to that way
They are awesome when we would shoot under the pontoons you would hear it hit the wood on the dock in the front of the boat. You get a lot of distance out of them. It was the first time I have used an ACC Crappie Stix Rod. When I got home I put my Lews dock shooter on FB and sold them to get more ACC rods.
That's some slab action in the first 10 seconds lol. What part of Cherokee is this at? We've tried at melinda ferry and around that area. We've struck out everytime. We are wanting to get some good eats in the freezer!
@@justreelfishing2002 thank man, love the vid. Okay so, if you could only choose one Crappy Stix which one would you choose...the 6'6" or 7'6" for an all around setup for docks, slabs and bass possibly. Keep rippin' boyz!
The 6’6 to me is the most versatile. I use the 7’6 a lot for casting and fishing brush. You have to set farther away to dock shoot with the 7’6 which helps keep from spooking fish. Over all accuracy the 6’6” I could thread a needle with it. I have every size the all serve their purpose.

Great video. You got me excited about our trip tomorrow. We going down to Cherokee tomorrow. Day going to fish evening and that night a while.
Let us know how you did!
How’s the bite sensitivity on these rods?
I’m currently using the B&M sharpshooter for all my dockshooting. I’m really impressed by its power and extreme sensitivity!

We’ve kinda gotten out of using the shorter rods. We’ve moved to a 6’6 and it seems like the perfect length for us with more power.
