Thanks for the interview, although I wish it was a bit longer so we can get an in depth interview of his EPLF and post EPLF life/work. Although I disagree with Dr Assefaw’s stand on Eritrean politics, I have great respect for all Eritrean freedom fighters that contributed the independence of Eritrea. Dr. Assefaw is one of the well know Dr during his EPLF years. Dr Assefaw has his rights to be whatever he wants to be in regards to Eritrean issue since Every Eritrean has the right to be a supporter, an opposition or even a hater. What surprised me the most, very negatively about Dr Assefaw was his views of Birged N’hamedu. On one of his interviews, right after the violence in Sweden by Birged N’hamedu, I heard him saying “it is ok for Birged N’hamedu to throw rocks at Eritrean festivals”. That, I found it shocking, especially hearing it from a medical doctor. I wish you asked him why Dr Assefaw Supports throwing rocks at peaceful Eritrean festivals is a legitimate form of opposing PFDJ? I never seen/heard any Eritrean (civilian or Tegadalay) throwing rocks at Ethiopian civilians who lived in Eritrea during the struggle for independence.
How do you address your concern for Eritrea with your allegiance to the United States? Does not make you an enemy of Eritrean Independence and sovereignty?
