Well, if you're tryna hear this song live, you're it of luck. In my opinion, the few live performances I've heard aren't as good anyway.

I can say the same about A Thousand Suns, Hybrid Theory, LIVING THINGS. Just pure gold
this song is so underrated compared to their other songs. the chorus almost sounds like faint but with a different drum beat :D. Lyrics are amazing too

This song has one of the best “screaming bridges” of any Linkin Park song, because it’s blended very well. It has a harder base chorus and Chester screaming is used as punctuation and I think the two play off each other in rhythm incredibly well. It helps that it’s not just straight voice-breaking angry death metal screams, there’s more emotion and variation to it, unlike Faint and One Step Closer.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the bridge. I can't think of any of LP "breakdown" that makes me genuinely feel the energy and emotion, while also making me just want to toss people around like a ragdoll.

This was the song where i thought LP showed the world exactly what they could have done with a genre like Nu-Metal. They absolute killed it on this track, and it really highlights the chemistry between Chester and Mike's vocals and how well they interchange on a formula that usually sounds soo bad with the other previous bands who've tried it. One of my fav LP songs of all time.
Wish they still made innovative music like this. Their songs these days seem so ordinary/average.

Just like with "don't stay" and other songs, this lyrics are so harsh. Maybe it's because I'm dealing with a breakup, but they are damn so meaningful. Instead of talking out problems, you just get consumed by them ('instead of setting it free I took what I hated and made it a part of me'). I believed every word you said to me, and stopped being the one you fall in love with ('giving up a part of me, I've let myself become lost inside these thoughts of you').

Chester's voice! GOD DAMNIT!!!! Will there ever be anyone else with such a powerful and unique voice????? Most LP songs feel as if they are one part. The guitar doesn't sound out of place, the rapping doesn't feel out of place, the beats don't feel out of place, Chester's aggression is perfect, Hahn's skills are phenomenal!!! Why can't I get a complete feel in any other artist's/band's songs??? I'm almost always left feeling as if there was something missing whenever I listen to other artists' songs.

May I recommend Breaking Benjamin. Songs like simple design, polyamorous and Failure. it is different from Linkin Park, but it is whole as a band like Linkin Park.

This songs another perfectly vaguely honest story like most of their songs. The way they craft the lyrics singing, rapping and screaming patterns resonate even if you can't catch the lyrical content.
The quick stammering-like thinking that comes with Shinoda's technique in his sections. The grittiness with the screams through the chorus at the beginning of the song which become lighter at the end of it. The acceptance of who they are and what they've become inspite of their parents& (authority figures', friends', etc) flaws inside themselves is told through that tonal shift in the chorus. They've done this on some level with all their songs, that's why they became world famous.
I felt all this instinctively the first time I heard them as a young teen. I honestly didn't care for music until a friend gave me and old USB player with their original two albums on it. Now I can look back on Linkin Park as the band that not only got me into music, but as the people who made me truly start understanding myself. Much love to the band and their loved ones. Stay strong and positive
Wish they performed this song more often in their live concerts. It's definitely in my top 10 LP songs and one of my fave songs of all time

BUT THEN I HEARD CHESTER’S VOICE! And i became so unbelievably happy i got a little emotional and i couldn’t believe i found a song i didn’t recognize from them! It was the best feeling in the world.
