Gneisenau META's line about fighting alongside Bismarck hurts more when you find out that Scharnhorst and Gneisenau were supposed to be apart of Operation Reinubung alongside Bismarck but were damaged in a previous engagement and they German Admirality didn't wish to wait so they only sent out Bismarck and Eugen

@@aldyzero6676 yeah, iirc, the captain of the U-556 only said that he couldn’t get the funds to get a band for the launch of his sub just like that while at the dinner, or at a bar, with other captains, including Lindemann… and then Lindemann pulled an ultimate BRO MOVE by not only sending his ships band, which was pretty big because… it’s the Bismarck, but also, iirc, paid out of his own pockets. If those details are true, kinda hard not wanting to give a bit of respect to Lindemann for that. (Another good thing in that regard is that Lindemann wasn’t an asshole to his crew because he let his position go up to his head like most of the kriegmarine’s officers and he pushed for his crew to be well-trained… which payed off during the battle of the Danemark strait since, not only the battle lasted around 15 minutes and the Hood around 5 minutes, but the first salvo of the Bismarck landed pretty much right next to the bow of the Hood)

while i hope for her to get a Retrofit, i think the "Faction Leader Ships", so Bismarck, Nagato and Queen Elisabeth are all dangerous cause of their Buffs to said Faction. If at all i expect QE to get a Retrofit first, and then maybe Bisco or Nagato, problem beeing that both Iron Blood and Sakura Empire have multiple UR Backliners and Frontliners while Eagle Union has a single UR Ship to their Name(New Jersey), same for Royal Navy (Drake) so we can assume that they'll get some more before IB or SE get any additional. Although we can always hope

Thus U-556 commander and crews wrote their vows to protect their "older sibling" Bismarck wherever and whenever on the sea, but at the end U-556 can only witness Bismarck getting ravaged by Royal Navy fleets and sunk.

That’s canonically why Tirpitz kinda hates Bismarck, as Bismarck’s sinking meant Tirpitz never got used to her full potential.
