VICTORIA BRIDGE - A GREAT 131 YEARS OLD RAILWAY BRIDGES!

The sleepy town of Karai, near Enggor, is hidden between the rubber plantations. It's about a twenty minutes drive from Kuala Kangsar and it lies beside the Sungei Perak. One of the oldest railway bridges in Malaysia, constructed between December 1897 and March 1900 by the Perak Government Railway as a crossing over the Perak River to serve the local tin mining industry.

This bridge reminds me of a similar bridge in Tanah Merah, Kelantan, not far from a house (DO's house) that I used to stay with my late parents.
