Lovely machine!...have the same machine 6 inch stroke..might have to sell it next year when the shop is sold out due to retirement.

My first exposure to a vertical shaper was when they had two of them as accessories on a couple of Bridgeport 'J' vertical milling machines when I was in school. I got both of them going, but unfortunately I never got to make anything with them.

Just seen a very nice one of these go for nothing at an auction 600$ I picked up a nice radial arm drill at the same auction
