Well, from an Italian perspective, I must say you nailed almost everything. One mistake: we do drink a lot of cold coffee, and it's available everywhere. Just ask for "caffè freddo" (cold coffee) or "caffè shakerato." They will serve you a delicious, sweetened coffee with a creamy texture. Apart from that, here's a suggestion about Northern Italy: don't go to Milan. It's way overrated. There's only one monument worth seeing: the Duomo, and that's it. Unless you feel the urge to spend thousands of euros on an Armani or Gucci dress, don't go there. Of course, you need to visit Venice, but don't forget to stop by Turin, the former capital of Italy. It's full of monuments, castles, museums, and more, and it's the Italian capital of culture.
@@AnnaGoldmanTravel Maybe the most common name is caffè shakerato... I do like your channel, I love to travel. I lived in SF, Boston, New Orleans, Dublin, Paris, etc. And by the end of October I'm headed to South-East Asia. ;)
Agreed I went to Milan last week and I felt the same luckily I only stayed two nights … we walked to the canal area which was on my to do list … Milan is a very large city and I won’t be coming back to visit
The cities should be visited in autumn and early spring to avoid not only the heat but also the tourist chaos. If you can't, I highly recommend visiting the small historic villages in the hinterland away from the tourist chaos and for a superior quality-price ratio for food. Once you have identified the region you would like to visit, look at the maps only to return to the hotel. Lose yourself among the landscapes and small historical pearls of this beautiful country.
I just flew back from Rome yesterday... I spent 4 days walking my legs off to each sight and I still didn’t see it all… I really didn't enjoy the crowds... Next time I will come in November or even February …
I'm from Rome i like your videos, ice is water and water mixed with milk and coffee changes its flavor a little, but if you ask for a cold cappuccino a bar usually gives it to you, especially in the summer, but there won't be ice in it. They will probably take it out of the fridge, or they will crush the ice instead of the water used for the coffee in order to measure the water well in your drink. We Italians are very precise about everything and we don't mix flavors easily for this reason, it is a art, every drink, food ecc. tells a story, so if you ask for ice we say NO, but if you ask for cold it's another matter🤣

Love your videos. I know Italia has great food but for someone who is lactose intolerant, do you have any recommendations?
What was that purse with the reinforced strap you recommended?
