Ingredients:
Basmati Rice 1cup= 250gms
Sugar. 1/2cup =125gms or 200gms as per taste for sweetness
Salt as per taste
Garam masala:
1 cinnamon
3-4 black pepper
3-4 cloves
Ghee. 1/3 cup = 85 gms
Mawa. 100gms
Dry fruits as per choice

Zarda is a sweet, aromatic rice dish, popular in South Asian cuisine. To make it, begin by rinsing 1 cup of Basmati rice and soaking it for 30 minutes. In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of ghee and sauté 4-5 cloves, 2 cardamom pods, and a small cinnamon stick. Add the drained rice and cook for 2-3 minutes. Then, add 2 cups of water, 1 cup of sugar, and a pinch of saffron soaked in warm milk. Cook on low heat until the rice is tender and water is absorbed. Garnish with raisins, cashews, and almonds before serving. Enjoy!
