i do heavy-duty collision wraps and paint for a living iv done it for the past 25 years we have wrapped pepsi trailers , bud trailers and building supply trailers but i ain't see nothin like that Red wrap...that is frickin AWESOME TO SAY THE LEAST GREAT JOB GUYS I LOVE IT
well... I made a few mistakes. I think my first mistake was trying to save some money on the wrap. I bought some lower priced and presumably lower quality LOL wrap from eBay. I think the second mistake that I made was getting a super glossy wrap instead of a matte finish. it seems that the real shiny rap shows every wrinkle and speck of dust. I guess I could say it was a learning experience LOL.
i like it. Guys look at how well job is done. Yes I don't like colour or car model either but I realy like a quality service they do. I would accept that kind of change for some vehicle parts as front bumper... especially when your car isn't young and got some job to do that cause before the painting. Only small amount of work applicable, just rub, clean and apply any colour of the wrap you need. Job's done. Also I think if they shoot that video on slower mothion in some parts with another car say BMW that would be cool. The Russians are hard workers and they will do their job intact and much cheeper than the other professional garages...
This is such a unique technic that I've never seen done before. I like to know if the vinyl can withstand all sorts of weather thrown at it without the vinyl pealing off.
@@dkllc6874 Well, it all depends. I'd say 3-4 years is plenty long, I would certainly hope I would have bought another car within that timeframe.... Longevity really does depend. First of all, on the quality of the vinyl. If you buy your vinyl on eBay, it likely won't last as long as you would have liked. But if you spend the money which 3M/Vivid/Avery wrap cost, it will likely last very long. It depends on the guy wrapping your car. If he is inexperienced or is using a poor technique, in particular along edges & corners, the wrap will soon start to peel. If he's a pro, only the very tight corners will start to peel after a couple of years. In general, weather does not affect the vinyl. But if you park your car in strong sunlight, that's really the litmus test for the guy who wrapped the car. The first day in strong, warm sunshine is the test. If your car was wrapped by an experienced guy, the wrap will be perfectly fine after being toasted in the sun. And it will continue to withstand sunlight. But if your car was wrapped by an inexperienced guy, the sunlight will wreck your wrap. The wrap will shrink and peel. You will see lines of the original colour shining through along edges, and the corners will peel. I myself did a crappy, rushed job last month. I ran out of time, and the car simply had to be finished by bedtime. I cut a few corners, even though I knew it was wrong. So instead of dismantling anything, I carbon wrapped the inside door handles/arm rests, center console and wing mirrors as they were. I knew it was crap, but I prayed and hoped it would be alright. I couldn't fold the wrap along the edge of the console, so I just cut as precisely as I could around that edge. Same with the mirrors, I just cut the vinyl along the top edge. I was surprised over how neat it looked. It lasted until next afternoon, where the car got back, now with chrome shining through on the center console, and the mirrors made me laugh. The carbon wrap had delaminated completely, just hanging like deflated balloons under the mirrors. So what I'm saying is IT DEPENDS ! -Get a pro to do the job, and it will last 3-4-5 years. Probably 4.
I bought a car that had been keyed extensively (the owner game me a discount) will wrapping a car serve as a good alternative to painting it or will it still look bad?
its really hard for me to believe after all that trimming, they wont scratch ur car with the blades...5 years later when u take it off u see all the scratches they made
Im thinking on getting my old nissan primera wrapped. But i have a question if any one can answer it please. Whats it like for cleaning as i take mine to a fella who uses high pressure washers. Will it rip off or somthing els?
How long does that last, and how does it stand up against different weather conditions and what about washing the car. It looks real cool, and those guys were very professional, but how long do their works of art last for.
The biggest question I have and I am sure is on everyone mind is how long dose the wrap last and dose it have a life time Guarantee, or are there some positives and negatives to the wrap
Ok so for window tinting we are always taught to use soapy water to keep the material movable until you squeegee it out to its final resting spot. Is there a reason that this is not an option with vinyl wrapping? Im only guessing that it has to do with the heating and cooling or the amount of force needed to stretch the material?
Damian Ramey most wrap vinyl has a component to it known as air-regress. A tiny network pattern of hexagon shaped tube-like structures imprinted into the adhesive side of the vinyl. All of the air bubbles are dispersed, and the vinyl stretches better. Soap and water is not necessary and more of a nuisance in my opinion. in some cases it violates vinyl warranties.

Nice job. I work for a sign company, I've done a few wraps, can't say I enjoy it though. It's more fun to watch in time-lapse.
They work very fast! I have never seen people move so fast! Great!
Awesome watching you all work. I've worked with vinyl wraps. So much tedious work to make it perfect. You all did a great job.
white and red combination was looking awesome
Hard work! For sure hard work!
Man they did a really excellent job,
Wow that looks nice. Makes it look easy! I'm going to wrap my car this afternoon, so....we'll see what happens lol.

I bought a car that had been keyed extensively (the owner game me a discount) will wrapping a car serve as a good alternative to painting it or will it still look bad?
John Andrew Serrano Garcia way better than paint. If you get a scuff all it takes is a 4 second blast from a heatgun
Rahzee Alibaba but it only lasts about 5 years
Your team works efficiently.. good video to learn to do your own. Did good job.
I would've wanted the rear view mirrors done too...
Sweet nevertheless
I think they did do them but just black but idk if you mean you would do them red
Gostei de ver a parte da maçaneta. Tenho dificuldade nessa parte. Agora vi que basta soprar e moldar o adesivo.

Damian Ramey it's still a good idea but you use about 1 drop off soap to 1 liter of water.
