Hi ! FYI ! I am living in Norway and orerderd a Model Y P with 7 seats a long time ago. On Friday I got a mail from Tesla deliveries saying that if I change my order to 5 seats I could get the car delivered in March. I think it's a Berlin car, but I will wait for the 7 seats. Got an X P90 Signature that I waited for 3 years to get, so I am used to wait.
That’s how i lost my 5K for FSDand ended up paying 7 K for FSD and saved 3 K for removing the 7 seats. In the end i am glad as 7 seats not worth it unless you have really small kids no adult will ever sit in the 3 RD row. Just be sure that they are making the change and that all pricing you agreed to is honored. The fine print says it reprices the car at current pricing.
I also wanted to buy a 7-seater based on what I saw on internet until I saw one in real. I ended up buying a 5 seat Model Y and am happy with my decision so far.
The cyber truck looks more sleek and compact than before! I love it!

Great decision, i tried to purchase more however as i am in Australia my funds had not transferred into my account in tine.....
None the less, i agree, hopefully the price continues to drop over the days / months but given the current market conditions and fact that TSLA will destroy earnings, who knows where the price will go.
I am in the stock for the next 10+ years so its no big deal which way it goes i suppose, at least over the next month or two.
There are a great amount of "traders" that think about a dead-cat-bounce. Maybe the next days give us more opportunities. Earnings Wednesday but after that....

Futures red, I picked up a lot at the bottom of the day. I got mad alerts on my phone. Had to go in. I'll keep buying this down trend in the market, deeper it goes more I'll buy.
It’s going to $600-700. Probably does a good bounce and then continues to correct. Tesla is incredibly over valued.

We’ve has “InsureMyTesla” in Denmark for years. Simply a special deal for a regular insurance - not tried to individual driving data etc. I suspect the Spanish setup is the same. Also regulatory issues might prevent Tesla from setting prices based on individual drivers’ statistics in the EU - at least in Denmark there are restrictions on how individualized prices can be.
Managed to sell all other growth and go 100% in $TSLA. Happiest with my money in TSLA in this macro environment even with a sell the news moment approaching. Thanks for the update Rob 👍🏻⚡
4:00 the front light strip has changed too. It now has a constant width the whole way around. I think it looks better now.

wing mirror totally changes the look of the vehicle
To me it looks like the front end has been rounded more on the cyber truck. The transition of the roof from the rear doors to the bed no longer looks linear but slightly angled. Maybe it's just these photos?
Re: CT…the frunk lid is clearly much shorter and the front bumper has a more rounded/less angular shape. Overall a much cleaner look.
Tesla New Zealand also partners with a local insurance provider here to get low rates as other insurance providers try to gouge us.

Our M3 insurance was not supplied by insuremytesla as it was too expensive compared with other NZ insurance suppliers. "Dude where's my car" is becoming thin. Next boat in a few weeks.

This wiper is definitely different and better looking than the one from the test track video.
Tesla is a lean and mean machine, efficiency and optimization above all else.
The wiper reminds me of the ones used for some mini vans except the parking location is on the A Rail instead of by the frunk. Dual wipers could work but I know they are trying to go with minimalist styling and may have something even better than the one we see here.

Interesting news about Ferrari today. Why does it seem so hard to for them to go full hybrid and end ICE only cars even when they are getting trounced by family sedans that are 100% EV? I suppose those who buy Ferrari are running in a different crowd (of course) and change to that part of the exotic car world seems to be faster in some areas and a lot slower to adapt to changes in others.
All of these guys that are low volume high price tag will need to have chip, battery, & motors to be able to make those switchovers to EV.
It would not be surprising to see Bentley, Ferrari, RR, etc all forge an alliance to buy needed parts in a bulk buying group. But trying that on their own I think would be financially ruinous.

Cybertruck wiper is definitely updated compared to the one shot at the Freemont track. The “track” Cybertruck wiper was straight. This wiper has an offset near the pivot. This means it can stow above the A pillar, more out of the way. It may also be a little less visually bulky. The new wiper is a big improvement over the prior one.
I'm holding out hope its only for the prototype. The track based patent seemed to suggest a horizontal bar that swept from top to bottom.. possibly inside a laminar air flow to retain favorable aerodynamics. Never seen anything like it.. but floating on two induction magnet tracks would be cool.
I suspect that's the truck seen in the video's where Elon said that's not going to be the final wiper design. Who knows though, but they have time to tinker with small items like that still.

In canada Tesla did the same thing but pricing was not competitive in Ontario

European insurance market may be hard to get into due to regulatory issues, licenses etc. Starting with a JV or branding deal might make sense to test the water.

The CT wheels could very well be simply an optional wheel, and they look like other Tesla wheels under aero covers. I wouldn't make too much of them.
The truck is probably a fitment concept. It would have all components integrated to see how everything fits and connects. Probably early next year production

Insure My Tesla in New Zealand is done with Vero. It seems to be very good value compared to other quotes around.

Hey Rob does Tesla on the patten for the 4680 cell, Will Tesla be the only vehicle maker using 4680 cells as it seems to me they designed them and are they letting other manufacturers build them for them only.
Helvetia Insurance handle the warranty extension program for Tesla (at least outside of the states anyhow), so it makes total sense, that Tesla would take that to another level and use them for it.

I really hope we get announcement that 4 motor plaid will be available this year in limited quantities while get the production assembly line up and running. This would allow high margins for the limited run. While sorting out volume production of dual motor in 2023

Rob, I really think it was a good move, or that an extended 5-yr gap between CT unveil in 2017 and the 2022-3 production ramp will work out as a win-win. Most truck owners who bought other product brands in 2017-18 are just now likely thinking of trading or selling to buy new again. The early adopters are on the list now and will likely buy regardless. It’s the more loyalists to Ford/GM/Dodge/Toyota that still need to be convinced. I just think the timing is right. And btw, looking forward to your EOQ/EOY review/estimates and predictions. Great job as always.

Despite that, I think the lag (w/ reveal 2019 and presumed ramp: 2023/4) will work out as a win-win, even if Tesla is purposely holding out for Austin completion to begin the CT ramp, for early adopters and OEM loyalists alike. Clearly, they have a very complex Ghantt Chart in use. However impatient the many have been, the Tesla team is working this very well and pragmatically. I just hope they don’t slow the innovation curve.

Been following Tesla Insurance for the past couple years. At this point I see it at as a niche market pretty much exclusively for Tesla owners. I found that in the US initially the product was being supported by Library Mutual and was kind of in a holding pattern in expansion. I have seen a few positions posted on the Tesla website but nothing significant. The issue is getting through the Individual states regulatory labyrinth. So I see they went live in Illinois... the holy grail for insurance companies and Ohio. Makes sense since they have a pretty good foothold in these states as far as Tesla ownership. I do so a competitive advantage within the niche with statistical evidence proving out that Tesla vehicles have less frequency and severity with regard to. lairs than the average non Tesla. In the long run that should produce a competitive pricing advantage and only Improve with advances in FSD. Will see? Signed Jake from SF....🤓

Perhaps, but to my knowledge (which is avg at best) they haven’t applied for a proprietary patent on it, unless they got Apple’s lease permission. But, I have to say, it appears to be a larger camera window than the S3XY models currently have.
that battery article saying "first cells heading to tesla" makes it sound like panasonic will be selling those batteries to other manufacturers. Would that happen? Is this not a Tesla exclusive technology?

the top lightbar from the prototype is not street legal. based on what I have heard. this is why its missing in the current iteration of prototype.
