DA DADASDAD minasyan got a total of 451 kg salimi had a WR snatch of 216kg and if his 245kg C&J didnt fail he would have beaten minasyan and got a silver medal

You can add up 216kgs snatch world record and 245kgs clean and jerk by Irani weight lifter, Behdad. Lausha the Georgion in snatch made 215 kgs and 258 kgs in clean and jerk which is also a world record. Here what are the chances of getting first position by Behdad? In case he may continue he may be able to get any medal for his country!

Of course he is great, but please, stop saying he would have won a gold medal. He couldn't lift 245 kg on the first and third attempt. Lasha Talakhadze lifted 258 kg. And he didn't miss any of his attempts. Talakhadze ruled this event. By the way. this year, in 2017, he lifted 217 kg in snatch. Now, Salimi has no world record.
Even if the jury counted his second lift of 245 kg, he would have got a silver.
We are all proud of you in IRAN, Mr. salimi. You have our heart's gold medal.

we all saw one of the lowest level of judging, jury was awful and that was INJUSTICE EVER!!! 😐
Hi equaled the world record set by Antonio Krastev (Bulgaria 87). He did not break it. There's a difference.

Racism took Salimi out of this competition. That's ok though he had not much to prove frankly. It would've simply been nice to have more achievements. The Persian influence in weightlifting honor and Glory is solidly embedded throughout decades of medals.

I'm very sorry but the Olympics cannot put an Iraqi in the juries while an Iranian is showing off true talent and skill, especially after many conflicts between the two nations. Of course, people will be complaining due to my hyperbole as the Iran-Iraq war was a few decades ago. However, the same story was written at the 2015 AFC Asian Cup where Iraq beat Iran while doping. Disgraceful!

He failed the 1st one and the 3rd and the 2nd c&j he pressed out. Thats weightlifting. Maybe some of you should read about the rules again. So: Get over it. I get more the impression that some Iranian fans can't take the fact that he lost. Strict and fair judging. That's it. Even if he got his 2nd one, he would still have lost. The behaviour of the Irianian crowd at Rio 2016 was a disgrace.
Lukas he got three white lights on his clean and jerks then he went off the stand knowing he finished the job. Later they changed their votes... I couldn’t find any videos of his clean and jerks in rio, something was awfully wrong

don't know abount you but I have played weightlifting on small level. It's as much a physical game as it is mental. Disqualified in circumstances as he was in his second lift, will make you lose focus and make it even more difficult with the last lift. Plus the pressure, because of not completing the first lift. Absolutely unfair
@@aprendoespanol6833 I am weightlifting in competition as a hobby. A failed lift is a failed lift. His arms were not straight. We dont have to discuss that. Talakhadze had to deal with the screaming iranian fans. In the end he failed his lift. Some people just cant deal with it that their hero was beaten
