What I've noticed with the wispa is that the best effect is playing without the surround. The sound from the board travels through the surround, onto the system and then into the wall. So although it is quieter in other rooms if people say they can still hear it late at night etc. just take the surround off
It is a brilliant product. Lots of people talk on different platforms in a negative way about it but they havnt used it. I've had it longer than anyone I know of and why would winmau put their name to something second rate and claim that its the quietest system in the world if it isn't..... listening to the noise of mindless opinionated uneducated people causes annoyance more than any dartboard
The question is not so much about how much it reduces the decibels in the same room, but rather whether the sound is transmitted through the wall to the neighbors. Therefore, if the dartboard is more separated from the wall, the difference for the neighbors is like night and day.
My neiebour could hear darts on normally mounted board throughout his entire house. With wispa he hears nothing in the next room exactly the same as a stand that i was having to use. I used a decibel meter on my phone placed 2 rooms away. The darts could clearly be heard on the wall but absolutely no response from the decibel meter. In the room directly behind the darts on the wispa could still just be heard as a gentle tick. Compared to the normaly mounted it was over 75 percent quieter. Same result as using a stand. I have given my stand away and can play at night.
About 4-5 months ago I decided to move my setup from the other side of my room next to my neibours wall but not on my neibours wall. I started playing at about 10 o’clock at night and played for about an hour. The next morning I got up and started playing again and then I heard a knock at the door. The old prick from next door was standing at the door questioning the tapping/ banging noise which he could hear that was “driving him nuts”. He Reckoned it was disrupting his and his wife’s sleep and they were struggling to sleep with the sound of the darts. I had to get a wispa which cost about 80quid and I assumed this had solved the problem so I started playing again. But I was wrong it hadn’t solved to problem I was still getting complaints so once again I had to move the board to a different wall.
@@Sharkfin180 oh that’s very interesting. I guess it depends on the type of wall. Also my Mormon friends don’t use that room all the time. I can imagine if it was backed onto a bedroom it would drive them insane
@@Sam_brackexactly mate I can see where they are coming from but i just don’t think they should have the rights to try and stop us from doing something we love doing.
Before you pay 80 odd quid for this, fit some underlay to the back of your board. It fills the gap and takes out the boom effect. Worked for me and my neighbours. Have you tested the karella?
you won't need a Wispa if your board is setup on a darts stand lool if your board was setup on the wall then yes you can use one as i have a Wispa and its on the wall.
I tried all sorts and tested. Underlay does reduce the noise a bit but the solid bracket connection still transmits lots of noise. The wispas suspension system is massively better
If you notice the back of the board, there's a bunch of different holes of different colours, and you just rotate to a new colour and put the mounts into the matching colour and hang it up. If he was smart, he would have drilled pilot holes in all of them when he installed it so when he moves it, he doesn't need a drill.
I was enjoying this video until you said you don't have a hammer 😂 one thing I noticed at the 6 min mark. That darts are shaking in the board. Did you notice that whilst throwing?

Nice tip!
Then to stop the movement after throw it only takes the smallest bit of very light foam in 3 places around the outside to dampen any movement
I've got the Wispa, it still does make sound in the room, but it travels WAY less. And more importantly, it doesn't vibrate through walls.
😂 Top job setting the board up 😂
🤣🤣
I have the same product as I live with my nan and she goes to bed quite early so this product is perfect for the noise

I have a Wispa. My family is happy. It goes from a thud to a tick.

@@Sam_brack absolutely quieter.
Before you pay 80 odd quid for this, fit some underlay to the back of your board. It fills the gap and takes out the boom effect. Worked for me and my neighbours. Have you tested the karella?
Was that first hole in the back of the board drilled straight🤣..
How far off the wall does it sit? So you need to adjust the oche length?
About 2cm. I moved my oche yeah
What light are you using?
Can you use any light with the wispa?
Most are ok mate
Does this work with a Darts stand?
you won't need a Wispa if your board is setup on a darts stand lool if your board was setup on the wall then yes you can use one as i have a Wispa and its on the wall.
I tore off some underlay from left over flooring and placed in 4 corners. Sponge effect
Good idea tbf
Same thing I done cut a square piece of underlay off cut a hole in the middle where the bracket sits then stuck my dartboard back up
I tried all sorts and tested. Underlay does reduce the noise a bit but the solid bracket connection still transmits lots of noise. The wispas suspension system is massively better
I did the exact same thing when putting mine on fkr the first time 😂
😂😂
How does it work with rotating the board
Remove the board change the position of the pulleys using the colour guide and hang back on. Easy

You don't really need to drill if you can screw with decent pressure ooooeeeer missus
@@DavidLee-te2oz yeah but it’s way easier and you don’t have to worry about the screw going offline
I'm an experienced screwed 😅
Neighbours complain about the noise.... Solution: Get your drill out at 0:40am 🤣
Tbf the voice over was done at 00.40. The drilling was done at 3.30 am 😂😂

How did you magically level it? Seems early reviewers kept forgetting to mention this.
2 uppermost holes each side 197cm from the floor does it.

There's clearly a wobble with the board using the wispa. Not worth it. I'll stick with underlay
You can't see it at all when you play, and with a surround, there's virtually 0.
@wilks1878 I've got a new sound problem now, the blade 6 triple core number ring makes a twang noise if connected to all 4 points on board 🥴
