Idk if I was working security, regardless of the standard protocol when a crowd forms around someone claiming to know the talent, that tells me they too are probably talent. It’s the same at clubs that have famous people frequent them. You need to get those VIPs inside so that they’re safe and there isn’t congestion at the doors. If you don’t recognize someone you radio in, you verify their identity in some way, and if for some reason you had them wait outside and a crowd forms of people wanting to meet them, that’s a clear sign they are who they say they are, so at that point if you still have done nothing nows the time to do something and it’s not kicking them out, just radio a supervisor or find the information yourself. The nice thing about famous people is that there’s plenty of information about them online. I get that security are just doing as they’re instructed. But in any line of work there’s some level of common sense that must be used to do your job properly security work isn’t different from this. Acting the way security did can and did cause an issue which was the crowd at the doors, to me that means they didn’t do their jobs properly. Diligence is part of the job and all four of those security workers failed to do so. It lead to a fire hazard and bad publicity for the client which is twitch. Instead of getting angry that he has a crowd around him and calling more security, just figure out who he is and either get approval or make the decision yourself based on the information.
Agreed, honestly though I would say the verification was a bit for both ends. Like you said the security was not suggesting much or really trying to confirm Sykkunos identity much less the legitimacy of his connection to the talent. I mean the idea of confirming it by having him contact the talent to come out and grab him would have saved a lot of hassle, also either party could have come to that idea. Even so it would probably make sense though for Sykkuno to just contact either Leslie or Rae, that way they can grab him instead of having the talent grab him.
Except if they did that every time someone said that, it would be disruptive to the talent and enable stalkers and all kinds of shit. Sykkuno needed to be given a higher access pass, that's the end of the story. Honestly, I think security guards were doing what they're supposed to. Clearly they didn't know sykkuno thus it seemed like sykkuno could be a crazy fan. The guy clenching, he probably came in the scene didn't know what the commotion was on about when confronting syk. Technically the con was handled as it should be, since syk isn't a twitch partner anymore they wouldn't have security for him or any special measures.
I think going "I'm her friend" in a convention with thousands of people isn't really a valid option lol. I could follow anyone and just go "I'm their friend" trying to sneak in. Probably should have just texted one of them to come back and let you in
Not likely, once most of top twitch streamers switch to youtube they are gona change the 70/30 rule to 50/50 i think. These people are money grubbers afterall
i dont blame the guards, but once you see that he's legit and making a crowd and not a rando, then just get someone to see if he can pass with the vibe check
As someone who works security, They could have asked more questions to find out if he really knows her and maybe ask if he can show some form of proof?
If Sykkuno was more confident, he would have been able to get in. He just had to say "You can ask anyone around if I'm their friend or not". He had a crowd he could move at will.
I get that the security guards were just doing their job because crazy fans could say that they are friends with streamers, but my only question would be if leslie and rae had connections, why didn't they bring along sykkuno? :(
This argument makes no sense, they needed to tell him that he needs an official meet and greet, he’s clearly not a crazed fan. They weren’t doing their jobs part of which is diligence and common sense and that lead to a fire hazard. They deserve the criticisms given to them.

Now, I'm sure for those that were at the M&G that it was probably crazy, but how do you not notice a friend is missing after an unreasonable amount of time? lmao Idk I'm not putting blame on any of them, but that doesnt make it any less unfortunate. The security guard did the right thing. I'd put the blame on Sykkuno, Leslie, Rae, etc for not communicating with each other. Not that it ended up being a big deal, but still.
@@snolock1540 That's what I mean we are assuming. We are speaking the "obvious" because we are just a third party observing. They are friends and also they are there. We don't know the circumstances of I'm busy at my booth vs I'm so hung up with other stuff i can't think of anything else vs etc etc. We don't know. The more we assume the thing that *we* think they should've or would've or whatever it is they need to be done so that this doesn't happen -- the more annoying it gets because its the obvious things that everyone knows. But it already happened. So why say it out loud just to create conversation and may end up (which almost always) as a drama that others will add on and pile on until they forget what exactly they are trying to talk about. Its "easy" let me highlight again. Its "EASY" to say "Leslie or Rae could have been like where is sykunno and looked for him and brought him with them." Because its obvious. Doesn't mean they don't know about it because we are simply assuming and everyone have their own circumstances and why we even bother commenting on it just to prove an "Easy and Obvious" point. Yes nobody is wrong for pointing it out but its like watching Twitch streamer play a new game and the back-seater are telling you to do this and that when it is obvious. There is more bad then good to that and nobody at fault it just don't make it a habit because it gets draggy like my comment right now and somehow someone could get hurt from a simple could've.
@@omarunzainkun11 Quick and easy response to this. How long does it take before you notice a coworker is late to work? 10 minutes? 15? Maybe 30? It's worse when your work is busy. Why don't you feel the same way about your friends? When I plan a meet up with friends, I'm expecting them at or before the preset time. When they aren't there at that time, I send a message to see where they're at. I'm just surprised that a close knit group of friends doesn't share that mentality.
@@snolock1540 Its the scale difference. Let me give you two different perspective. If I invite my friends to go and eat outside I would've check on them if they are not there once I'm there. Versus, If I ended up opening a company and I sent out invite to all my close friends wanting them to come visit on opening day, I will not bother to check up on them unless I bumped into them during that opening day because I have more important things to think and worried about first. The circumstances they faced during that day is something we can only assume because we are not them and we are not there. So why bother speculate when in the end we are talking about our own experience on someone else's problem that may or may-not be related and only create more drama.
@@zeele3880 and so what?? It's twitch con, everyone has there phone out, he should've call his friends from the time the dumb security told him to wait. Tf
What was Con Staff doing? 😂 Was TwitchCon staff even alerted? This should’ve been handled by Con Staff and not by the hired Security. Security should never let people through unless they’re given exceptions- and the only way you get a exception is to get Con Staff to do it. Most likely, TwitchCon staff would’ve upgraded his badge on the spot to at least a Partner badge (even if he’s left for TH-cam) - otherwise it would cause the same issues later on throughout the Con. This isn’t Security’s fault. It’s TwitchCon Staff fault - because ultimately they’re the ones running the con and whatever they say goes.
Yeah, I mean he said he asked for a higher badge and was declined... and only on the last day (probably from seeing social media) did the policies around him start to change. I think it's because he doesn't have an org to ask on his behalf it causes problems like this.
And to think, all this could have been cleared up had they asked the people who were part of the meet and greet. I mean sure maybe not when he originally showed up but after he had literally lines of people walking up on him. When he once again said I am part of this meet and greet which is why I'm waiting here so it can be corrected. The staff's actions were uncalled for. I've seen this happen at some of my anime conventions.
Glad to see there are plenty sky fans who don’t blindly support him and disregard everyone else’s perspective. Plus to say the security guards represent the perspective of a company they work for one day a year is plain laughable 😂😂😂
@@cheapsentiment i’m sure if the security guard knew who he was he would have either let him in our kicked him out much earlier but it looks like Sykkuno didn’t bother to let him know he was a streamer too. So he takes fault to.

At anytime would you think he would just say “Hey, I’m Sykkuno” the streamer ??? Or contact someone to get him in I’m sure Ray or Leslie have their phone on them.
They were definitely seeing you as a potential unhinged fan. That pic was most likely for later incriminating use. Not sure why a fan who noticed him didn't tell the staff who he was and just to take a pic, bring it to the stage and ask if they know him. Just a lot of dumb stuff happening simultaneously.
For some reason I highly doubt that sykkuno has it in him to be so confrontational to say the same thing 3 times like dude I'm supposed to be there let me in
so weird that he thought saying "shes my friend" is a viable iron clad excuse lol. makes him look kinda dumb that he would think just telling someone that would make them believe him. he might as well have just took his mask off, told them "do you know who i am" and use the sykkuno name and status to get his way
I dont see any anger in sykunnos voice, its not like hes mad he is just simply not going to start things he just did what they asked so they cannot be mad and hes not mad that they were doing their job
Bro if the security guy punched sykkunno he'll get swarmed so fast like bro. Also they should have placed guards around sykkunno. Could have prevented all this trouble.
The guard is doing his job. Syk only has a community ID, so he assumed he's lying or something. Sykkuno, on the other hand, has petty vibes and I'm all for it 🤣 He got more fans waiting in line than a lot of the official meet and greet and clogged the area with fans waiting with him.
I wonder what might have stopped him from sending a text or two to people inside to come out for a bit and vouch for him to go in.. Or vice versa for them to take a quick snap of sky and passed to the guests inside to validate his identity. Altho with the thousands that probably tried to pull this, it is easier for them to pull a straight no and stick to business. Security is security after all.
I think one the reasons he didn't call anyway. If you have gone to a convention ever. Cell phone reception is terrible. And if his friends were having a meet and greet. That, on top of the noise in a convention. It wouldn't work. Just my thoughts.
Yeah or they could have, you know, asked him when the crowd started forming and it was clear he wasn’t some random. I mean they even had to tell him he needed an official meet and greet meaning they clearly saw he wasn’t just some fan and might be telling the truth. That’s the time to ask who he is and verify the information and then let him in, since they didn’t do it to begin with.
I can understand not believing him when he just appeared to be some random dude with a community badge, but they could have just let him through once it became apparent he'd been telling the truth.
How do you not get a clue if a large line of ppl try to meet the random guy instead of wanting to go to the official meet an greet like you should of sent someone to confirm his identity cause he sure wasn't a nobody
At the start, I understood security's decision. They didn't know Sykkuno and he didn't seem like someone they should let in. But when the crowd gathered specifically because he was there, they should have realized that he wasn't just a random. At that point, instead of getting angry at h for doing what they asked him to do, they could have sent someone in to ask Miyoung if she knew a guy named Sykkuno.
That's not an excuse. In fact, if he is pulling a crowd, that's an even bigger reason to kick him out. Him being in the event space as a guest and not in an official capacity with properly created lines for meet-and-greets makes his presence a danger to the other guests. The moment a huge crowd starts gathering around him and blocking the walking space, he would've been kicked out. That's often how cons work, in fact the only reason why most cons don't kick out people drawing crowds is because they're not guests but actual people doing panels, or meet-and-greets, or some other event at the convention. That's just how security at convention halls work.
The security done their job. But they shouldn't have let anyone in with the other streamers meet and greet. And they shouldn't kick yuno out for attending a streamer event that's going to cause a crowd naturally. Two mistakes.
if I'm correct, they technically don't have the right to kick you out of twitchcon when you were literally following instructions given by another security member to a T. if you were doing it without instruction then it would be different, I would have just been like "I'm just doing what I'm told. I was suppose to participate in the event going on and I've been denied access upon arrival so if you want me to move somewhere else I'm perfectly fine with that"
straight up, if they dont announce that TwitchCon was a failure this year to fix their shit PR, then might as well just jump onto TH-cam or have 100T create a streaming service

No xd, millions of people will say they are the streamers friends xdd, they cannot believe someone like that
@@juampisito Then they should've asked the 2 who walked in ahead of him if he was indeed their friend or not.

TH-cam should start their own StreamCon and invite all streamers regardless of the platform. That way Twitchcon can rot like it deserves.
there's a "youtube fanfest" thing.. i just dont know if they have it in U.S.
I thought the same. They should work together.
VidCon started as a convention for TH-cam content creators. Although it's for all internet creators now, TH-cam streaming fam should definitely go.
Vidcon started as a youtube con thing but idk if it’s still happening
"I am their friend" really isn't a good way to let them know you know that person :D. Should've called her or something.
right, he should’ve called her :/
or just show a twitch archive of them interacting, he was just dense xd
I agree, “I’m their friend” “I’m supposed to be there” “They’re waiting for me” sounds like what crazy fans would say 😅 I don’t blame the security if they were sus of him.. 😂 he should’ve called Leslie or Rae to get him so the security would believe him.. But maybe Rae and Leslie were too busy or got caught up by people that wanted to take pictures with them or something
💫🤶🤛💨
Honestly it’s super funny that by simply following their instructions that it caused a huge issue for them. I can see their perspective but still
Thanks for signing my badge while you were waiting for Miyoung! Still I am really sorry you got kicked out, you were so nice to everyone asking for pictures and autographs. I was actually expecting you to be at that meet and greet too, and was surprised they had you on the outside. Guess this explains things haha.

Honestly, I think security guards were doing what they're supposed to. Clearly they didn't know sykkuno thus it seemed like sykkuno could be a crazy fan. The guy clenching, he probably came in the scene didn't know what the commotion was on about when confronting syk. Technically the con was handled as it should be, since syk isn't a twitch partner anymore they wouldn't have security for him or any special measures.
agreed. honestly wondering why rae and leslie didn't just tag sykkuno along since they had connections to be able to get around.

This is why you don't want security to be solely run by a group from outside of your event without supervision.
Sykkuno's villain arc has start, the world shall know pain.
Well sykkuno is an unhinged trolling warlord king for a reason lol
I think going "I'm her friend" in a convention with thousands of people isn't really a valid option lol. I could follow anyone and just go "I'm their friend" trying to sneak in.
Probably should have just texted one of them to come back and let you in
The moment TH-cam update their streaming service and have a streamcon for TH-camr, that would be the death of twitch
Not likely, once most of top twitch streamers switch to youtube they are gona change the 70/30 rule to 50/50 i think. These people are money grubbers afterall
The security guards watching this 😂
i dont blame the guards, but once you see that he's legit and making a crowd and not a rando, then just get someone to see if he can pass with the vibe check
As someone who works security,
They could have asked more questions to find out if he really knows her and maybe ask if he can show some form of proof?
Sykkuno used penguin stance 🐧
* Penguin stance was ineffective *
the fanarts from this moment are the funniest things ever
Sykkuno trolled security? I don't believe it, he would never
If Sykkuno was more confident, he would have been able to get in.
Exactly, don't get why they would just forget about him - should anticipate and prevent these type of things
Because Leslie and rae didn't want sykkuno to be there lol they're just tolerating him as a roommate but hate being around him.
@@arwenlostlorn6569 what makes you think that?
This argument makes no sense, they needed to tell him that he needs an official meet and greet, he’s clearly not a crazed fan. They weren’t doing their jobs part of which is diligence and common sense and that lead to a fire hazard. They deserve the criticisms given to them.
@@arwenlostlorn6569 based on what? Why would they move in with him after knowing him for a long time if they "just tolerate him but hate being around him"?
Do you actually think you're doing anything but being a parasocial drain on society when you make stupid comments like this online and speculate negative shit about other people's relationships?
It’s clearly because the Twitch security was only expecting Sukkuno
Sad no one came back to get him. Leslie or Rae could have been like where is sykunno and looked for him and brought him with them.
couldve wouldve no one, come on dont speak like you know whats going on. stop assuming. just take stuff like this as it is not trying to think of what couldve and switch blame and create more drama with all this already so much shitty drama on internet
@@omarunzainkun11 No, no. I actually completely agree. If I was Sykkuno, I would've stepped away, called one of them and asked them to come get me and if I was one of them, you'd think they would've noticed Sykkuno not showing up to a planned meet and greet and sent him a text or called him to find out where he was at. Now, I'm sure for those that were at the M&G that it was probably crazy, but how do you not notice a friend is missing after an unreasonable amount of time? lmao
Idk I'm not putting blame on any of them, but that doesnt make it any less unfortunate.
He should have just called one of them and told them to come get him
What I find funny is he didn't think about calling them for help
Why didn't he just call or msg her or one of the friends inside to come get him? He must've had some connection if he was able to tweet.
my question is why didn't Sykk just call up Miyoung or Rae to help?

So was it impossible for him to contact her or one of her friends that were in?
Crazy fan thinks he is streamer's friend and says he lives with them
And to think, all this could have been cleared up had they asked the people who were part of the meet and greet.
Classic syk…he could’ve simply called one of them, but instead he trolled them😭

@@cheapsentiment i’m sure if the security guard knew who he was he would have either let him in our kicked him out much earlier but it looks like Sykkuno didn’t bother to let him know he was a streamer too. So he takes fault to.
I hope with all my heart that the first picture becomes a meme 🤣
sykkuno is the only person that can get kicked out for existing
Seriously not understanding how this couldn’t have been solved with him calling or texting the others. It sounds like the others were expecting him to be at the meet-and-greet so it’s strange they didn’t reach out to him either like “hey, where are you? Did something happen?”
At anytime would you think he would just say “Hey, I’m Sykkuno” the streamer ??? Or contact someone to get him in I’m sure Ray or Leslie have their phone on them.
I mean if there is a crowd of people gathering around him I would let him in LMAO

them kicking you out was ridiculous your a huge entertainment icon
They were definitely seeing you as a potential unhinged fan. That pic was most likely for later incriminating use. Not sure why a fan who noticed him didn't tell the staff who he was and just to take a pic, bring it to the stage and ask if they know him. Just a lot of dumb stuff happening simultaneously.
For some reason I highly doubt that sykkuno has it in him to be so confrontational to say the same thing 3 times like dude I'm supposed to be there let me in
so weird that he thought saying "shes my friend" is a viable iron clad excuse lol. makes him look kinda dumb that he would think just telling someone that would make them believe him. he might as well have just took his mask off, told them "do you know who i am" and use the sykkuno name and status to get his way
the worst feat here is valk doesn't have a badge and can go in... he can't go in wit that crowd...
Sykunno: "She's my friend. Can you please let me in?"
Security: "Nice try. I'm not fooling for that again."
Sykkuno is such a chad
I dont see any anger in sykunnos voice, its not like hes mad he is just simply not going to start things he just did what they asked so they cannot be mad and hes not mad that they were doing their job
That moment when you're too shy, humble, and awkward to just say "I'm Sykkuno"
Bro if the security guy punched sykkunno he'll get swarmed so fast like bro. Also they should have placed guards around sykkunno. Could have prevented all this trouble.
Number 28 there on his own no lines? That's like putting tom cruise outside a movie theatre
I’ve worked as a bouncer. They didn’t know what they were doing. The posture of the one guy speaks volumes
I still don’t understand why didn’t sykunno call miyoung from his phone and ask her to let him in.
If he really punched him boy the guy would be 💀
The guard is doing his job. Syk only has a community ID, so he assumed he's lying or something.
Sykkuno, on the other hand, has petty vibes and I'm all for it 🤣
He got more fans waiting in line than a lot of the official meet and greet and clogged the area with fans waiting with him.
Poor Sykkuno, too polite n wholesome for that lmao 😂
Im just surprised none of the fans pulled up a video of syk and Rae 😭 feels like that would clear up the misunderstanding
We are two now.
it sucks that he got kicked but he also could of just called them on his phone. which might have solved the issue no?
Man this guy is trolling the security guard, LOL
Puts as soon as twitch goes public.
Sykkuno.. you're a funny guy. Don't ever change PLEASE?
maybe if he had introduced himself as sukkuno they would've known who he was
Yeah or they could have, you know, asked him when the crowd started forming and it was clear he wasn’t some random. I mean they even had to tell him he needed an official meet and greet meaning they clearly saw he wasn’t just some fan and might be telling the truth. That’s the time to ask who he is and verify the information and then let him in, since they didn’t do it to begin with.

it kinda makes it sound like a bunch of people tried saying "I'm her friend I know her!" which is kinda scary but understandable.
Ok but what if Syk showed a bunch of photos of them together
Maybe show them some proof like a TH-cam video of you guys hanging out?
For real though why does that one guard look like he's about to fight sykkuno?
that security guard looking like a short slinderman, who he gonna stop?
why didn't he just show a pic or video of them together?
Complete bs on how the security guard told him to stand still and wait and then bro gets kicked out for it
How do you not get a clue if a large line of ppl try to meet the random guy instead of wanting to go to the official meet an greet like you should of sent someone to confirm his identity cause he sure wasn't a nobody
I don't understand how come Rae and Leslie go help out Sykkuno to enter the convention booth together. That would have saved all this trouble

Why not just text her and have her come over and make them let him in?
The security done their job. But they shouldn't have let anyone in with the other streamers meet and greet. And they shouldn't kick yuno out for attending a streamer event that's going to cause a crowd naturally. Two mistakes.
security guy not recognising sykuno is much funnier imo 😄
if I'm correct, they technically don't have the right to kick you out of twitchcon when you were literally following instructions given by another security member to a T. if you were doing it without instruction then it would be different, I would have just been like "I'm just doing what I'm told.
