    Never played the tabletop but massive lore fan since I had fuck all to do back in covid and did a deep dive in to the God Emperor. Still finding out about new factions in and outside the imperium and it’s great.

      Never even considered the tabletop.
      Got fed up of Luetin's stuff showing up in my YT feed, and thought WTF, let's have a nose.
      After watching the Space Marine creation video, I realised this is a horrific universe, I love it!

    The best of the best with honor, still use them on the table top 😎 they serve me well kill everything from demons to those blue things that love to shoot the hell out of you 🙄 they still die as fast as guardsmen lol. I like the challenge! very different from using my gray knights or blood angels. Warhammer's fun, thank you for the video.

    Man for being so badass all of my stormtroopers get chewed the f****** up on the tabletop, this feels like a huge gap in between lore and play with me; if these guys are really almost as good as space Marines just without the transhuman genetic engineering and power armor then why the crap are they getting routed, not hitting or wounding anything with their hot shots and just getting absolutely pwned in melee just as bad as normal guardsmen

    • @robdeskrd

      There will always be a large gap between Astartes vs baseline human.
      Astartes are far stronger, but their speed is what really scares people, they go through a lot of psycho-conditioning that alters their thinking (it's more focused & a lot faster but, what makes a man Astartes is the black carapice-
      it lets the mind link into armor, they have no motion/speed restrictions in mark armor and it vastly increases their strength, provides auspex, targeting system and, when Astartes aren't at war they train for 20+ every day.

    I've never understood something. I thought that the Imperium perfected cloning. So I guess I don't understand why they don't just clone a bunch of there top performing dudes, instead of requiring a planet tax or whatever. Like I understand that cloning Primarchs and Space Marines is way more difficult and only Fabius Bile is able to do that. But why not just clone more Imperial soldiers if you need them?

    • @EthanKristopherHartley
      @EthanKristopherHartley 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Humankind perfected cloning in the Dark Age of Technology - hence why the Leagues of Votann are still around. But elsewhere it went the way of the Betamax, C90 cassettes and any series I like that Netflix produces and instantly scraps. 😉
      Astartes and Custodes aren't cloned, they're genetically modified after birth. Kreig has the Vitae-Wombs which are suggested to be some form of cloning/mass artificial birthing gewgaw. But it's generally considered a bad thing to keep the genetics of your family tree as a stick. 😉
      The other thing to consider is, there's a million worlds, holding billions of people. They don't have a lot to do outside working, eating, and sleeping. And the Technocrats would probably have a fit if they tried making a hoop and stick. So a cheap way to enjoy yourself is to make people. 🤷
      So the Imperium has a surplus of Human Resources that they need to use up before the best before date. Rather than just sending them into the garbage disposal, corpse starch tin, or out of the window into the chemically polluted wasteland, make use of them. Hence the use of walls of cheap, expendible, replacement grunts. 😉 (But those are just my personal thoughts. As always, ymmv.)

      they have, they're called the "numen," and are cursed with bad luck rivaling the lamenters. and just in case you don't know who they are, just know that any clone regiment does very well, but they get so cursed from bad luck that they end up getting destroyed regardless. i guess, in some sort of way, the death korps of krieg are the only perfect "clone" regiment and i put "clone" in quotation because it's not exactly clear if they ARE or AREN"T clones, but you know that's kinda how the lore goes.

    • @derywade9131
      @derywade9131 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@unclemiguel4221 Interesting. Which book is this in? Also, are the Numen just a faction, or is that just what cloned guys are called? Is it bad luck that they suffer from, or some sort of genetic anomaly due to the cloning process or whatever? I'd be very interested in reading up on this.

    • @unclemiguel4221

      @@derywade9131 i don't remember if it's in a book and i can't find it at the moment, but i do remember hearing about it. they aren't a faction, i mean i guess you can consider them a guard regiment and "numen," is indeed what they are called. to my knowledge i don't believe it's a genetic issue with them, i think it's just the ungodly bad luck that eventually brings them down.

      @@unclemiguel4221probably a problem with the high similarities clones with similiar upbringing share in their thought processes and therefore their warp influence.
      I would imagine it leads sooner or later to a situation where to equalize the similar warp imprints of already dead clones warp energies influence the material world to kill the rest.
      And probably it leads to the opposite effect in the beginning when all clones of a batch are alive so the immaterium keeps them all alive at once leading to higher effectiveness. Of course the brutal imperial training methods could also doom such regiments grom the start when to many vlones die already in training.

      You don’t understand. Their lives are about worshipping Big E and while some places are bad, others are very good. You most likely would have a mediocre job with mediocre benefits but having the things that matter. It’s for the imperium always cuz its at war always. We as readers get to see that while it’s a horrible and dangerous place, it’s worth fighting for.
