Thank you sir for such a simple way of telling the complex process of rhythm and space . Waiting for next session . And thanks for highlighting the importance of Pause
Thanks a lot for doing this sir - Can you also talk about how much you can rely on sound design to find cut points, sometimes if the soundscape is blatantly different between two scenes, we can take the liberty to end the scene with a mid and open the next scene with a mid because the difference can be felt with the sound. Otherwise, a lot of times, we exit with a wide and again establish the new scene with a wide and go in. So, do you think we can make our cutting choices with the help of sound? How good and bad it is, to do so.
Thank you sir for simplifying the concept of rhythm, pace and pauses. I'm feeling like I've got a ladder to reach more of my capabilities as an editor to perform better. 2 questions sir... 1. Am I right if I understand it as - the scenes with their certain rhythm together make the pace of the film. And we need to match that pace of the edit with the pace that story demands? 2. I come across a lot with a word 'Beat' while reading the scripts. Can you please explain what does beat mean in the script and how an editor should deal with in the edit? Thank you so much sir 😊🙏
Thank you very much sir. I have couple of questions, 1.Generally how many days you take to complete a feature film edit. 2. Can we edit a film without using any effects. (except dissolve and fades) 3. Do we really have to keep the duration of the film in mind and edit. Thanks
Question: You talked about the importance of pause after an energetic sequence - which needs to be created at a script level. Have you had a film brought to you after it was filmed and you found out that it had energetic sequences one after the other without any pauses in between? If yes, how did you save it from becoming tiring?
Sir, I have a question: Of all the takes you recieve of a single shot, how do you decide which take is the best? Do you pen down an editing notes about the rushes you see?
Thank you Sir
Great video, Sir. It'd also be a great addition to your series if you take scenes from any of your films and deconstruct how you've built that scene.
Yes
Hopefully in the future

Hello sir, when a scene is inherently slower than the film. How do we alter it to fit in the film?
Sir,
In story line there had a three act structure. is pacing of editing differ in each story structure
Good one sir, How do you estimate audience reaction while editing the film..
