Hi Pete and Tis. It’s Tom, the guy that took your picture at the monastery that you featured on your intro screen. I was just browsing You Tube at SeaTac Airport and saw your post. We just got back from an 8 day cruise to Alaska. We saw bears, bald eagles, otters, and Salmon swimming upstream. We return to Lewes, Delaware after a day visit with our daughter who lives a stones throw from our favorite airport-Dulles. We will have a bit of a break from traveling until April when we rejoin Viking for the their France’s Finest river cruise.
Hi Tom. How lovely to hear from you! Yes, that photo you took up in Meteora was one of our favourites. I am tempted by an Alaska cruise. I belong to a Facebook group - We love viking cruises (UK) - and members have been putting up a lot of amazing photos of Alaska. Since we met, we have had a week's holiday at the bracing English east coast (Cromer) with 4 generations of our family. Not the most restful of trips but our grandchildren (aged 3 and 5) had a wonderful time, so we couldn't fail to enjoy it as well. Our next big trip is Bangkok to Bali in November with Viking. I am a bit concerned about the long haul flights (because I am a worrier) but we are both really looking forward to getting back on a Viking Ocean ship. I have also booked with Viking to do Venice, the Adriatic and Greece, a 7-night trip, next Feb/March. Further to that, in the spirit of 'We must travel now while we still can', I have booked Viking's Magnificent Mekong for Sept/Oct of next year. I am really looking forward to that but I must not get ahead of myself. We should be focusing on Bangkok! The email address we use the most often is fearon@ntlworld.com. Thought I'd let you know so we can stay in touch and compare travel experiences. Much love to you both. Tis x
