If you are not a UK dom but you receive income from a company outside the UK and this money is sent to your UK bank account. Does this money get taxed?
My case. I live in the UK and work offshore Turkey. I am paid from Turkey as an employee. Due to the nature of my work offshore I am exempt from tax in Turkey. Does the exempt tax amount count as credit in the UK. Article 23 of Turkey/ UK DTT seems to read that way.
Very useful video thanks, already subscribed ;)) Im uk tax resident but I get some income from Spain as an Employee but I dont remit that income to uk, instead I keep it in my Spanish bank. Should I still declare my Spanish Income although I pay the taxes of it in Spain and keep it in my spanish bank? Thanks

Hi, I want to ask how to define “foreign income/earnings” in UK tax system ? If I am a UK tax resident, I work as self employed at my home in the UK , my work is to provide consultancy services to a Hong Kong company, and this HK company simply pay to my HK bank account in HK dollars. In this case, I work by myself in UK to earn my income from Hong Kong, is this classified as “foreign income” ? If yes, can I use remittance basis which means as long as I don’t remit these earnings to UK, suppose I don’t need to pay tax for these earnings. Thank you in advance!
