I always love to see the decorations people have in their yards in different areas of the world. Some people have planters like that burro here (Michigan USA) too but gnomes are really popular right now. And hanging ornaments made out of old china or glass are in style too.
Landscapers have always told me that it's good to put membrane under gravel or pebbles,as it stops the stones being absorbed into the earth.However,don't put it under mulch because during a heavy rain the water cannot permiate through fast enough,and it washes away the mulch.The trick is to put a thick layer of mulch,(4-6 inches,10-15 cms),much thicker than most homeowners think is necessary.Sure some weeds will come through,but keep on top of them and pull them out.That said,I do enjoy your work,thanks for posting.

He had to go by what the homeowners wanted. I bet that tree will grow back fast since they get a lot of rain there. 😁
