Thanks for this. I played the first Dennis Signature Snare drum and that I believe was a 4 ply shell as well, what a dream sound. This one looks and sounds great. However, I hate to hear about Strainer issues. I remember having my heart set on a Ludwig Carl Palmer Venus Snare Drum and in the shop when I went to flick the strainer, it stuck and jammed up. I walked away, because in the middle of a tune, you can't be playing around with a strainer to go on or off. Maybe Pearl can reassess their throw-off. Or maybe, get Sonor to design it...HAHA.
Such a great idea for the snare wires. The only thing I wish they did was maybe have each snare wire made out of a different material I want to build my own snare in the future and will be getting that strainer with the different snare wires (thinking 4-strand copper, 4-strand steel, and 4-strand brass
Well its seem very versatile, with my eyes closed i would guess it was a metal shell, maybe there is ring from the dicast hoops. Nice review covering all areas.
Great video as always! Thank you!
thanks!
Can´t wait to get the wires as spare parts, they can be useful when you don´t like classic 20 or 12 wires strands!
Great video!
