Maribyrnong Recycling

On a freezing cold winters morning I found myself in Maribyrnong just before 6am and it happened to be the time the trucks were starting off their frontage in the guts of Footscray. You may all remember the footage I posted of these trucks about 4 years ago when they were pretty much still new on the job although this time we see them with some signage added to them. We witness #047 at the start of its run picking up the full commercial Recycle bins in the dark. Hope you all enjoy the footage and cheers to the easy going driver! Enjoy!!! ;) ;) ;)

There's something cool about the residential trucks doing commercial work, you see bins at shops and you don't really expect a side loader to come along and do the job. You know where it happens but when there are heaps of wheelie bins presented in CBDs ey! 6am feels too late for this service but, at least it was still dark, always think with council commercial it should be at least 5am or something :P First bin he lifted, you could see the weight in it when it dropped slightly at that halfway interlock point, then CRASH! Good to see/hear there were a fair few bins chockablock with glass. Nothing dodgy about the bin at 2:20 but, understand it slipping that much if it was full of magazines, but the dust that emerged from the hopper flagged contamination bigtime. Spewing one of his visor clearance lights is out, I'd hate that if it was my truck haha These trucks look tonnes better with the signage now, remember seeing them brand new when they were still plain white (fitting in with typical Remondis fleet). Spotto at 2:35 and 6:40, more fun when the fellow local garbos are around with ya - garbage and litter bins eh?
