I was there in the pit,so close to the my all time favourite artist, although wouldn't do Slane again, Madonna in the aviva stadium 8 years later wasn't a patch on the Slane gig.

Her at 1:30...what took her so long indeed! Over two hours wait in the typical cold and rain for her Madgeness to appear onstage and over four hours to get out of the 'car parks' afterwards.. Judging by the sheer volume of people at that show i think some thought that that Christ's mother herself was appearing at Slane. Jaysus...a nightmare.
Sounds grueling. I hope it was worth the wait / hassle. btw, I believe that Christ's mother herself was touring with the Jesus and Mary Chain at that time ; )`
