Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1972 Mercury Marquis Colony Park. Before minivans and SUVs all the cool moms were rolling around in full size station wagons. Beyond functional utility these cars oozed style and substance! Finished in a Butternut Yellow combined with a wood veneer this 72 Colony park is sure to catch the eye. The eggcrate grill and hideaway headlights make for a bold and clean looking front end. Looking for a party trick? When it comes to loads the rear tailgate (in true 70s fashion) swings both ways! Open the doors and the first thing you'll notice is the green interior. Sitting in the soft vinyl bench seats, surrounded by wood trim and chrome accents, you'll feel like you're in a clubhouse. As this body style of Ford wagons was the longest and heaviest they ever produced these cars rode like a dream and required some serious motivation. Under the hood is Ford's big block 429 with a 4 barrel carb and is paired to a 3 speed automatic. Imagine how this wagon can get up and go and haul the whole family and camper with it! If you're looking for a classic car that is fun for the entire family this is the one you want to own! Options include Air Conditioning, AM/FM radio, cruise control, hub caps, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seats, seat belts, vinyl interior and white wall radial tires.
This 1972 Mercury Marquis Colony Park is for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. This is the Type of Station Wagons my Father Drove when I was a Kid in the early 70´s

Colony Park
Oh as a teen coming up in the mid to late ⏰ 70’s our dad 👨🏾 brought the exact Color Wagon but it was a 75 Mercury Brougham Grand Marquis Colonial Park LS Park Lane Beach 🏝️ 🏖️ Wagon Station 🚉 Wagon Brown Interior Bucket 60/40 Recliner Driver and Passenger Seats 💺 with Middle Arm Rest For Driver and Passenger.
What comfort and ride it gave us for a pre-owned Ride back in the mid to late ⏰ 70’s. Again I would choose and pick any
Antique, Classic and Vintage Rides over these hyped new ones that are called cars 🚗 and little to midsize SUV’s 🚙.
Sincerely Yours Truly

Got a couple of rear brake/turn bulbs out (bottom half each side).
Brother to the Ford LTD. Country Squire the colony park seemed fully equipped as a Mercury should because it is suppose to be a step up line of automobiles at Ford but this Colony Park did not have the dual faceing rear jump seats or the little storage compartment on the left wall in the back of the station wagon which is a option I know but should have standard on the Colony Park Optional on Country Squire
Too bad they did a slop Half "A**" job on the wood. Too lazy to take the badges off before application so they cut around the Colony Park emblem among other defects that may net b see by the automotive novice. Zoom into the pictures closely.
