Thank you for sharing. I’ve only learned to use mugwort for releasing pain and have applied it to others for same said purpose…however you’ve given me more food to grow on…gratitude
Yes it can be an excellent medicine for unblocking stagnation and releasing pain. This video is actually an excerpt taken from the film I released recently called Mugwort ~ Medicine & Magic. It contains a lot more information on all aspects of this plant. The link is in the description above if you wanted to watch it 👍🏼
Thank you 🙏🏻 for all the knowledge you share with us.
Thanks for posting this, during the retrograde as someone with heavy mercury placements I couldn’t sleep for past 10 days, started smoking mugworts and finally I can switch off
Nyishar I love your videos great knowledge!! I suffering a lot of liver fire upwards,I am a typically wood person with strong emotions, creative and artist, but liver fire makes me oversensitive, tensions in body, nervous system and often headache, do you think Mugwort can be good for me or can you give some tips!? thanks and blessings
Well said
Please make more videos.gave u a thumbs up. Bless you
Paul, do you have any books or lectures you could point me to that further build on this idea of relating to a plant or compound as a being with a personality? I find this extremely interesting.
I really appreciate your perspective, the recent offerings have inspired me to learn more about mugwort, in particular, moxibustion. Is there by chance an online resource that you are familiar with that you could recommend? Thank you
I trained in the Tibetan style of direct moxibustion but there are many different styles all throughout Asia and also from the Galenic medical tradition. Moxa is an exceptional treatment when performed correctly and in response to accurate diagnosis, however there are people and certain conditions that are not at all suited to moxa therapy. Moxa can be a very strong medicine! As with many healing modalities though, a somewhat diluted and over-simplified moxa practice has developed, especially amongst western practitioners, many of whom don't understand fully what they are doing. This has led to some below average information being shared online during recent years. There is no substitute to training with an experienced practitioner, however, if you want to research more and learn about some of the intricacies of Asian moxibustion and its incorporation of Mugwort, I very highly recommend Merlin Young's book on the subject called 'The Moon Over Matsushima'.
@@Nyisharthank you so much for that explanation and recommendation .
It would be great if you could make a shorts vid saying This Plant Can Help You Overcome Procrastination and help you Achieve More Clarity .
And maybe a short about the benefits of moxibustion of mugwort ... and perhaps another one with the recommendation about that book ?
This is the first time watching your channel. I like the way you convey your knowledge. Can you address specifically how to use mugwort for dream work? What form to take, when to take it before bedtime etc.? I also read that itmight be taken in combination with wormwood, although I generally prefer simples. Any thoughts on this, or caveats? Again, I will be exploring more of your content in general. Thanks!
Never mind. I just saw you have a video on this already. Though any other thoughts would be appreciated.
Welcome aboard! For dream healing I would personally recommend fumigation of the dried herb - I don’t just mean incense here - I’m talking specifically about sprigs of the dried plant being burned. This will produce exponentially more smoke than a processed stick of incense, which will in turn produce a stronger psychoactive effect prior to sleep and of course within the dream state.
Tea (from dried herb) and/or tincture (from fresh herb) can also be very useful, although the benefits build more gradually. However, in my experience the combustion of the plant and subsequent inhalation of the smoke is the quickest and most effective way to produce the psychological effects associated with this plant.
The full documentary on Mugwort entitled ‘Mugwort ~ Medicine & Magic’ goes into much more detail on all of this. The link to that video is in the description above or at the end screen of this video.
@@NyisharMany thanks for the guidance! I am not so interested in dream healing but I am following Tibetan practice to achieve dreams of clarity (as defined by Namkhai Norbu Rimpoche in one of his books). But I'm sure the same procedure will bring results for that as well. Again, thanks.
@@ralph0149 Dream Yoga and Clear Light Yoga (of the Tibetan tantric tradition) are both essentially practices of dream healing. Of course, successful practice can potentially achieve much more, but for the most part during the practice, the channels between the mind, body and subtle energies will be interfacing completely consciously. This results in a great deal of healing. Many dream yoga practitioners escaped Tibet after the Chinese occupation, but not before being brutalised by the Chinese military. Many monks and yogis healed their broken and disfigured bodies through dream yoga practice and eventually traversed the Himalayas on foot into India, when prior to that they were crippled and unable to even stand up. So in practical terms the division between 'dream healing' and Tibetan dream yoga is initially a superficial one - the details might vary somewhat, yet as you pointed out, the processes will achieve very similar results for the most part, at least up until a certain point.
@@Nyishar Yes, this is the impression I got from my reading. Of course my dream practice is nested in the wider context of my overall spiritual practice. What I like about the Tibetans is that it all converges on the attainment of clarity, as opposed to the work of LaBerge. He also derives from the Tibetans in part but stresses the dream rather than the dreamer. Tough slogging either way! Take care.
I’m in India. Where can I buy it from? How does it compare to Cordyceps? I want something to help me focus while studying 📚
Beautiful
You changed your hair?
Can we be married. I love how you honored my favorite herb baby.
Do you take in tea form or tincture?
Thank you
Personally I use both, but also use as moxa and as medical incense. In fact, smoke inhalation and moxa treatment are the two methods I have used the most. Tea with the dried herb and tincture with the fresh herb are both excellent though.
@@Nyishar thank you; I had never heard of this moxa method before now! Interesting
I talk more about the use of Mugwort in moxa treatment in the video I released recently called ‘Mugwort ~ Medicine & Magic’. The link to that video is in the description above or in the end screen of this video 👍🏼
Why did TH-cam stop suggesting these videos to me? I got the bell on and everything. Not cool TH-cam, not cool at all!
Yeah it's pretty annoying that this is the case. Despite having 90,000 subscribers, the visibility of my videos seems to have extremely diminished. It's super frustrating, especially as some videos take me months to put together. Glad to know you found your way back though!
@@Nyishar You video resonate. They are something that linger with me. Super grateful. Sharing them with friends.
Paul I thought you died.
@@VitalityMassageMany thanks! I will do my best. I hope you’re doing well!
Nyishar, we don't know eachother, but your early videos gave me the courage to explore the depths of concsiousness.
I hope that mining those depths has proven to be useful for you?
