At most, it's not about pointing fingers at anyone as most are mentioning names of other people here. You are most counted on in your self, your queue. Those before, if nothing the vision of God about His world that this Church has a part play is at least working on. Our day is now....
Lest we remain unprofitable critics who don't have awareness of themselves in what giftings and ministry they are called for. Like we are outspoken in criticising though seemed unqualified ones in our minds...Our gossip here on social media! This was 1996 Sermon. Where were some of us then? The preacher himself was called to glory long. Now the blame is neither Nyamekye, yourself or me. But the blame is that, if I could identify myself to commit to my calling and you do as well and if we all have done, we will see no short fall anywhere. Let help kill self, is the important thing. Then we can be truly the will God holds.

are we gathering Ghanaians and Africans that have traveled abroad or we are genuinely winning other cultures? How many white Americans are in the COP USA churches? How many Arabs are in the COP Dubai Churches? My brother, we should not tickle ourselves to relax. We need the Holy Spirit to even stop the infighting and pettiness. Not the COP but all churches. When Africans travel abroad and they need protection and friendship they run to COP because we are a big family but genuinely we lack the Holy Spirit salvation

The central theme of this message is really the challenge of the church in our time. Most of the Ministers are human appointees with the baptism of "theology" and their so call "degree"
but not the Holy Spirit. What l mean is that ,they have been called by their own degrees instead of the degree of the Holy Spirit.
The future of the church" ; the theory of the old man "Prophet MK Yeboah". It looks like it has started in the church
I think it's not only the appointment of ministers that are humanly motivated ooo...it includes Elders, Deaconesses and Deacons too....we are nonfunctional leaders of God's flock. God should help us all!

Not only Today but have been there since. In 1931 God had a Covenant with the COP and one of the Church’s obligations to achieve their part of the Covenant is “...Callings and elections to offices were subjected to confirmation through divine intervention and general consensus of the people.” This was 1931 and they have held the Covenant till now.

@@Kingsfordboakyedubeif you care to know, James McKeown was elected to come to Gold Coast. Later when others rejected him, some elected that he should be their leader and that is what we have today.
Electing and appointing people as leaders in the church is biblical. When people say the Holy Spirit should be allowed to choose, may I ask, how does the Holy Spirit do that?
May we not just criticise because it satisfies our own cravings.
Voting has been there since the first church. The Holy Spirit also uses that means to appoint leaders.
