The location of the safety isn’t very good because your finger will accidentally activate it but it can easily be removed by pulling on both sides at once. Don’t lose the red o-rings while doing that.
You can turn the MCX and MPX into a PCP with the Air Venturi Tank With Stock & Adapter, 13 cu in, Aluminum, 3,000 psi, Black. I believe this became available recently. I have the PCP setup on an MPX. I have multiple magazines and belts. I have shot about 7,500 rounds so far. No issues so far. Thanks for the review.

There is a Walther 88 gram CO2 to 2-12 gram CO2 option, but the device is too long to fit inside the stock. I am now looking for an affordable supply of 88 gram CO2 canister.
Hey...thx for the review and not massive supporting some sellers^^. U can convert it yourself easy to an pcp version. Put off the stock, screw in an co2 adapter, and ur ready to go for a HP bottle. Seen some small ones in 0,2 liters( ZEN) and 0,4 liters (TIPPMANN). finally put an butt plate on it and its done. u can find these adapters on amazon (often selled together with the 0,4 liters tippmann bottle). HP bottle is about 50 dollar, adapter about 20 dollar, and the butt plate about 10 dollars. So everybody can convert it easy to a pcp gun for about 80 bucks. I think thats a good deal. Cheers m8
I've got one of these! When I can't go out to the country to shoot my AR-15, this thing is perfect for sitting in my yard by my apartment and just shooting a milk jugs, pop cans, cardboard, whatever 🙂 good review!
hi i saw someone feeding there mag with belt in place so have been doing this myself and have found it works well instead of taking belt out all the time i also find if you put lots of oil on the belt and i have fired over a five hundred shots and not had a jam so far i think you are right flat head pallets work best i have been using hobbies and found them great
Silicone grease and spray is highly important on this guns I hade my one for about three years and fired over 5000 shots only problem has been some jam's but nothing is perfect
load black links with pellets as well bloke. The end of the mussel has a cover not to quiet sound but to look exactly like the real gun. The sharp points at the end are the same as the real rifle and are for close counter attack jabs. FYI, Air Venturi 13 oz Aluminum HPA Tank made for these. MPX is Pistol and MCX is Carbine, a difference in barrel length and velocity.
i get the same results with mine. wadcutters are high on the accuracy list. Just dont overtighten the co2 and dont rapid fire. i get very few misfires.
It will freeze and stop working if it is colder then about +10 to +15c outside and you don`t wait 20 - 30 seconds between the shots when using Co2. I am using paintball remote line and HPA tank instead of Co2 so now it works fine even in below freezing :) . Also I did get 250 shots from one Co2 wich is still way to expencive for my taste...
The gun is solid, it's made in the sig factory's along side the real ones ..the mags might let it down over time but you can buy replacements! ..ive got the MPX version, shot about 8 tins of pellets through it so far using 12g Co2's with the" best fittings" converter, all good so far :)
Additional, a new pcp model, the sig sauer virtus has now started to ship. Same 30 round magazine in .22 with 11+ ft pounds. UK customers are being shafted by retailers. Now UK majority parliamentary elected party has bumped up the value of GBP against the euro you should shop around and try getting agreed price at £400.
You can get PCP 13 ci 3000fps tank and adapter for $99 from Pyramid Air and butt stock as well. I found a butt stock on Amazon that is like the AR which looks even better using the 13CI tank..
Mine jams like crazy. the magazine chain is loose, so it tends to bind up. Sometimes the magazine is difficult to remove when it jams. I have sent it back after only two days of use and approximately 400 rounds.
I solved all those problems by converting it to High Pressure Air. Co2 is absolutely usless for anything that shoots faster then one round every 20 - 30 seconds is my experience because it freezes the gun and everything...
Thanks for the review. I won’t be getting one of these now. Two deal breakers for me, the large C02 is only found at Airsoft stores and the magazine looks too tedious to load. The small C02 cartridges are found at any hardware store because they are used for other common cordless tools. Thanks again for the detailed review!
i was advised that semi auto on airguns was not permitted...the workaround was using a non rifled barrel. are semi auto with rifled barrel now legal?? cheers for the heads up folks...Dave
thanks for your time/effort w review. I love mine and no issues thus far. it is very important apparently per (confusing) instructions to pull belt from magazine from below and feed it into upper track to not damage. I think I saw u pull belt from upper track. oh well...just sayin. did u see hpa ninja tank mod? 13/3000 ninja 1100 psi regulated hpa tank with $10 adaptor works beautifully. higher fps, more shots per tank, and no co2 cool off/pressure drop. just put a $5 paintball butt stock on end of tank and quite comfortable/effective. I found light glaze of oil on high quality (rws) 7 grain wadcutrer pellets helps to eliminate misfires and release from magazine when shooting. sweet gun..one of a kind really in the market imho..more of a replica than serious hunter or target rifle but sweet nonetheless. I added a $70 bushnell red dot and love it. Cool to see the new sig airguns gain some market traction.

I've been a big fan of Sig Sauer for awhile now, myself. I EDC a Sig Sauer P938 Extreme microcompact 9mm on my ankle, a P365 SAS on my waist at the 4 o'clock position, and a Sig Sauer Custom Shop P220 Elite Platinum 45acp with Streamlight TLR-4 light and laser on its pickatini rail kept in the glovebox of my BMW X1
Review missed a few things, though it's possible my MCX is a 2nd gen that's different. Gun is clearly marked 'Made in Japan' - some info on just who exactly would be nice, like is this Marui? I think it's 2nd gen because the number of shots per co2 cylinder seems to have gone up a lot. I didn't keep track, but seems like 10 or 12 belts per cylinder. Plus I don't get 'co2 snow' out the muzzle. Which I would be concerned about as co2 ice building up in the grooves of the rifling will randomize the potential accuracy. The charging handle rattles very loudly. It really ruins the MILSIM potential, as just running around with this thing will make you sound like your dogtags are jingling! Sig could easily have added a spring to the charge handle in order to keep it tight in it's slot & not allow it to bounce around like it does. Charge handle does not move the belt, it only re-cocks the hammer. I was able to get a few more shots on a dead cylinder by manually cocking each shot. It also helped to apply some heat to the cylinder after fast firing killed it's pressure. Even a dead cylinder 'woke up some' by warming the cylinder until it was about 90 degrees F. I used a 1500W ceramic space heater for this, removing the plastic stock 1st. The moveable foregrip has sharp corners at it's rear, which dig into your hand. I recommend rounding those corners off with a wood rasp or dremel. I just removed that grip and put it in storage along with the open sights. The loading tool should be kept inside the grip storage, but the storage compartment does not have a foam insert to keep the tool from bouncing around in there. I just hotwired a nice bit of black open cell foam to do this. The belt loading door on the magazine fits the slot to the rear of the grip, pops the storage door open very nicely. No mention of any of this in the manual. Manual has a number of fails. One in particular is their description of how to use open sights shows a flat top sight arrangement from a pistol, and not the aperture style combat sights that comes with MCX/MPX. Manual describes clearing pellet jams by showing an illustration for a pistol. I got the plain open sight version. These sights are not very good for target shooting. I installed a Bushnell TPS-25 and saw an immediate improvement in group size at 50 yards. I wait a full 10 seconds per shot when shooting at range, but the trigger pull makes a steady hold difficult. I'm looking into how to improve this, but it's not likely going to be anything short of 'cheating'. Something the review gets totally wrong: belt advances on the triggers rearward pull and not as the trigger moves back forwards to it's resting position. But that would have been much better if only the trigger actually did advance the belt after a shot is fired. Could have opened up the opportunity for a much more target friendly pull weight
What scope is that exactly? Seems to be some sort of copy of sigs Tango-scope, but obviously not the "real deal". So do you know the exact model of this one? Would like to see some reviews and have something to read about it :)

(since we all have the real thing anyway ..8^) Like many, waiting/hoping for a full, (not-down regulated), HPA/PCP version. (Probably going to wait forever ..)
Can you get your hands on a victory pr900w I've seen some good honest reviews making me highly consider this budget pcp I'd like your opinion before making a purchase. Seems a very good starter for a pcp. I've a hatsan 900x breaker .22 and was considering a 1.77 for a flatter trajectory to further my distance and tighten groups with less recoil. I've also a 4x32 scope on this and would consider a 6x40 for the pr900w. Thanks for your time and honesty :-)
So let's get to what is really on everyone's mind about the MCX pellet rifle.... WHEN ARE WE GOING TO GET A 22 CALIBER VERSION...? Because for now, this rifle does not even stack up to a Crosman 1077 in terms of performance and accuracy at more than twice the price !
It is not actually semi automatic as it is the trigger that is indexing the belt, so technically speaking it is a double action revolver... That makes it pretty much impossible to make it fully automatic without lot of work and modding.

I like everything I see except the scope the design bothers me so much it looks backwards/awkward but I know it is on correctly if I get one I'd most definitely change the scope out for one that looks normal lol but good review!
You guys really need to learn your air guns before you do these reviews because, my SIG MCX DOES shoot without the magazine in it so you're giving inaccurate info my friend.
There is something about this MCX that is a bunch of crap. $ 10 each for CO2 cylinders, What would be nice if they were refillable from a larger cylinder. If there is a way to refill them, e-mail me quickly so I can remove this negative comment.

Where did you get the Proton X3 bottles? How many shots do you get and what's the power like? I've got a PCP pump for my Hatsan rifle and I also have this Sig MCX (in black) and the savings on the blasted 88g bottle would be nice.

I have an MPX with the Air Venturi conversion and I get about 300 rds. per fill. The gun is a blast to shoot and quite accurate.

+wibble1999 Technically it not semi auto because the second stage of the reload is when you release the trigger.....
The tip of the silencer mimics the real deal. I make them. It looks exactly the same.
I think the early ones have problems.. they always do...Just need to work them out...

I put a coyote brown EOTech on mine that scope was a bit ridiculous for that rifle in my opinion.
is the mock suppressor removable? ...he said that the barrel goes all the way down to the front of it so I'm presuming it isn't, just wanna be sure.

CO2 discharge valve might be set a little high on this one. getting a lot of spew, and probably less FPS than you should. o_O

@@capolean2902 yeah I've seen targets out at 25m with this and they seem quite accurate, good enough for ratting within that distance probably.

The silencer is just fake one for show, it does not dampen the sound at all.

It is not actually semi automatic as it is the trigger that is indexing the belt, so technically speaking it is a double action revolver... That makes it pretty much impossible to make it fully automatic without lot of work and modding.
So its not full auto

I like everything I see except the scope the design bothers me so much it looks backwards/awkward but I know it is on correctly if I get one I'd most definitely change the scope out for one that looks normal lol but good review!

U could probably HPA tap this gun if u have a techincal experience in airsoft moding.
They actually have a HPA conversion kit for this gun, and its regulated
You gotta let the C02 replenish after each shot or you won't get an accurate chrony reading

Buy a Proton X3 rechargeable cartridge (I've got 2) - not cheap, but should be in the long run.
Where did you get the Proton X3 bottles? How many shots do you get and what's the power like? I've got a PCP pump for my Hatsan rifle and I also have this Sig MCX (in black) and the savings on the blasted 88g bottle would be nice.
The SIG works 1000% more reliable on High Pressure Air then Co2... I use paintball remote line and a 0,2Liter air tank for mine.
