That seems to be a common trend with actors who play villains. They play terrifying, evil personalities and then in real life they're just the sweetest people in history.

Jeffrey's such a charismatic, truly cool guy. Loved him on Supernatural (as Sam & Dean's hunter father), even liked him on the recently canceled show _Extant_ with Halle Berry (I also hear he's really good on the Good Wife), and just can't wait to watch him now be Ben Affleck's (Batman's) dad in the upcoming _Batman v Superman_ movie. ☺️ And of course, ohhh - *Walking Dead!* - are you kidding me?! And that particular character? He's absolutely gonna _kill_ it! I'm so ready.

I love how you want to slit Negans throat with something so blunt and slow, yet you absolutely love the actor who plays him. I feel so sorry that there are people who can't tell the difference between the actor and the character and start hating him, but I guess that just shows you how skilled he is
I said the same about the young guy who played King Joffrey in Game of Thrones. I saw an extended interview with him and he was awesome, very intelligent and humble... then you watch the show and want to kill him.

He's so sweet in real life. I could just listen to him talk about his farm and life for hours.
I came to listen to Jeffrey tell me stuff about Negan, but instead, I learnt about the Cow Whisperer.

This guy really nailed it and the creators nailed it putting him in the role. I was so happy when I saw him because I didn't know who would be Negan. I was like SNAPPPPPP this just got a whole lot more serious. The series is gonna go up many more notches than it already is thanks to this guy bringing more quality to the table.
Every time I watch this I just burst into tears. I love JDM so much. I also lived on a farm and had cows, which are so so precious to me. He plays such aggressive or rough characters but he is so gentle--- my heart. JDM is far too good for this world
