    I've been riding bombora on waterborne for a couple years now, I love the setup for big carves and flowing around the local school grounds. I didn't move the trucks from their stock location though and it works fine for my use.

    The front steer to rear steer ratio on this build looks spot on, nice job.

    That is the widest deck I've ever seen! Its so fun to shift your feet around from turn to turn on a board this big!

    Oh no, you should put masking tape on the other side of the board before drilling so it doesn't chip off. Compare the original holes from the new ones to see the difference.

    Its awesome to see how your riding style has evolved over the years. Watch some of the early videos and then watch this one. Very different vibe, your flow now seems so relaxed and natural.

    Nice build! For these longer boards, my preference for the rear truck is also a basic RKP longboard truck. TKP trucks on the rear have a different steer progression rate and turn faster sooner giving the rear a feeling of over steering. I've found that using an RKP truck on the rear lessens the amount and progression rate of rear steering to lessen the feeling of the rear swinging out from under your rear foot.

    I have this exact board, great to see how you did it. Thanks for sharing.

    Glad I found this channel. No one in the longboard 🛹 community talks about Kahuna Creations boards. I bought th Kahuna Creations Shaka Stealth. I was worried the brand might be bad since no one really reviews them.
    I had no idea 🤷‍♂️ they didn’t review them because; it’s a whole different style of boarding called surf-skate.

    I have the same board, i'm still seeking "the way" that i will like to surf this board. I have two set of waterborne truck. One for my Whitetail Tigershark and one for my Bahne longboard.

    How would you say this compares to your White Wave Chief setup? Also, have you tried the 57" Waterborne proto?

      Very similar specs. The White Wave is wider. The Bombora feels a little better to me, but they're both great.

    Is it as easy to steer from the back of the deck. I notice you switch to the front a lot of the time.

      I do that when I'm pumping across flat ground. Much easier on the front. But yes, you can obviously steer it from any point on the board, as you see me demonstrate on the ride.

    Is longer board like this easy to pump or carve?

    • @SurfskateLove
      @SurfskateLove  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I'm not really sure what you mean, because to me those two go together. With decks this long what you need is a gentle downward slope and you can do whatever you want. Pumping and carving equally easy.

    What you think about your setting ? Is it easy and smooth to ride? And pleasant?

      That has not been my experience. I've tried many truck widths and I MUCH prefer 149s over anything else. Narrower always feels way better to me. Believe me, I have tried many, many different trucks and variations.
