Over the years my love for Mew grows deeper. Different songs bring new and evolved meaning and feeling. It grow on you. Loved Mew for so many years now. I’m thankful for my ex introducing me to them. BUT o get to keep these songs mended and beautifully preserving the feelings from back then when I heard them first.
It is so strange that it is called Water Slides because that's how I found Mew. One day I was having a really bad day and after school I came home and watched videos of water slides because water helps me release my emotions. And I clicked on one video and it had Introducing Palace Players in the background and I just instantly felt better. That was back in 2009 when I was having a really bad time and again I'm having a bad time but nowhere near as bad as 2009 and this song helps me. The fact it's called Water Slides makes me feel positive. :)
It's curious how you've discovered something that brings you joy and positiveness from any kind of situation, specially from a sad one. Not sure what your actual situation is, but I suggest you to go outside, try to have any activity to keep you entertained (something related to water...?); and of course, while you're at it, don't stop listening to Mew. :P Greetings!

This album is just beautiful. All the songs are very well crafted. A little bit more poppier that their previus albums.. but because of this, maybe more enjoyable.
I'll say it for those who need to hear it, Mew does not disappoint on the new album, and there is no one song that exemplifies the intricate tapestry of sounds they've woven together on +-. If you're a fan of Mew, this is one of their best, and merits multiple plays to truly be appreciated for the painstaking precision they've crafted the new songs with.
