I don't usually scalp or day trade but the other day I had a trade that just came to me, had green lights blasting to me everywhere. It was a biotech with big news afterhours and their market cap was about 1/10th of the value of the news so I loaded up. The next day, the big run up happened as expected. I was able to read the lvl 2 data and time of sales good enough to get out very close to the top right before the big pullback. I was so proud of myself. I wish I could do that everyday but I know i'm better off just dipping my toes into day trading, when those type of trades come to me.

Reason why indicators are inconsistent well there's four phases to market structure. What works good during one phase may suck in other ones characters change movements change your indicators need to at minimum be customized. Identify what phase the market is in try indicators that work for that particular phase so on & so forth until you have selected indicators covering all phases and it becomes second nature

Big institutions totally manipulate the market they don't even trade looking at prices they trade on levels they have the power to sink or raise prices. Its all done under camouflage they don't want retail knowing what move is next. look at the candlesticks usually the first one or second red one down the volume i 10x the others thats your institution candlestick. We don't buy and sell like you think individually its mostly all done through the market maker they buy a ton of shares to sell back to retail they are the ones buying off you most of the time. Eventually if price is low and they need to load up on shares they need to push price up where the sell orders are sitting waiting to be bought. When you see the market move up out of nowhere that why the market maker is going up buying up shares where the sell orders are waiting to be bought from sell orders after they get whats needed they sell off the ones they bought on the way up lower price then they have a nest egg to sell retail traders . You can find pretty good videos on it. Type market maker buying and selling shares

I feel like we gotta get more details outa this guy. He is saying the lvl2 and tape is manipulative, which of course at times it is, but majority of the time it isnt. Does he know you can see on the tape if dark pools are selling or buying? People looks at the lvl 2 and tape to see where and how much shares are being traded at, so with his opinion he is saying because market makers manipulate that, then it doesn't work? But we can see when and where they manipulate it...I mean really with his comments you can tell he doesn't have much experience on the retail side lol I wish more questions were asked and picking his brain a bit more.
Also it would be helpful if he had some charts up to actually show this stuff. Are we talking about pink sheets, nasdaq large cap stocks what are some tickers here showing examples of what he is saying. Alot of this just seems like he isn't familiar with retail day trading.
