Over 100 direct parallels exist btwn JC & Horace) The three kings=belt stars of Orion which r literally called The Three Kings. On Dec 21/22 the sun “dies” In the sky for 3 days. Dec 24/25 the sun is “born” again as it begins to move upwards in the sky signaling longer warmer days r coming. Mary is obviously Virgo the virgin. “They” worked the birth of Christ into the Pagan traditions of the winter solstice celebrations to make conversion less of a shock. (In the bleak midwinter…) Why do u think Easter (or Ishtar) is celebrated on the first Sunday after the 1st full moon after lol the Spring Equinox? The old Catholic & “Christian” (what does that even mean? What denomination are you? Bc if you really are a “believer” it’ll very much depend on what you believe and what you choose not to. Not church history. Systemic theology, nope. Nor is it practical theology lol Its a Song/Chorale! No wise men came searching. There was no star of Bethlehem (if anything it was just Sirius) it’s all allegory & metaphor; very important ones but the birth story of “JC” is impossible to know. Why? Bc the authors of the gospels made it up. While we’re on the topic of the gospels, why was the first known copy of (which was Mark) written in Greek?
