Your decision to pull savings to avoid a potential penalty was absolutely the right one! Congrats!

If it was me I would focus on the 1st citi card then work on paying myself back. With your 52 week challenge I would use that to pay yourself back into your savings! :)

Love your videos. I would pay the interest card 1st, then pay myself back.

I would definitely pay off the Citi card with the interest first, then pay myself back.

Since you asked, I would continue to payoff the next debt. You could pay yourself minimally until you're ready to make large debt repayments to yourself. Good luck

We had a lot of debt. We put our finances in order of who charged the most interest down to the lowest interest. Pay the biggest interest card first. Then pay yourself back. It's really important to get rid of card spending so you can focus your savings debt free. I've watched pretty much all your videos... Your on a great track. I learned a lot from you about saving n tweaking my saving but always put what I'd saved at the end of the year on the high interest cards..... We were debt free in 4 years... Now everything is paid for in cash. If we don't have the cash we don't buy it no matter what. The emergency fund covers our white goods for breakdowns. You've got this

I think you are making the right choices. Citi first then pay yourself back. Great job!

I'm glad you were able to pay off the citi #2 card before any potential interest hit. I'd definitely work on the citi #1 card as the top priority while also keeping the minimum payment on citi #2 to pay yourself back. But since the citi #1 card is charging interest, definitely make that the top priority

I think it was a smart move to pay the card before the interest hit. I would focus on the next card with interest but continue to make minimum payments to myself to replenish the savings.

Good decision to payoff that 0% that was going to add interest. I think paying off the other Citi card first then paying yourself back is smart. Great video!❤❤❤

I would pay the other card back first then pay myself back. Super smart to pay it instead of letting interest hit. Interest is killer. Great video friend 💚 I love the chattyness💚

Yay welcome to transfer tuesday! The accountability is awesome! I also am paid biweekly and use and rollover that I might think i can pull or side hustle stuff on the off weeks. Like you said, it ALL adds yp. Definitely pay the one with interest first!

That was a great call on pulling from savings to pay the credit card and pay yourself back!!! Thankfully you had the savings!!! Way to go! I think paying the interest card first is better than paying yourself back first. Because you are once again saving a good amount in interest at 19%. Maybe you could reassign some of your monthly saving reallocation to paying yourself back so at least it FEELS like you are starting to pay yourself back. It isn't the full amount but sort of treat it like a sinking fund with the randomizer......it won't be a lot but it is something and you won't lose focus of it either. Just a thought. 🤔💜

I would flop and pay the one with the interest and THEN pay yourself back because you wouldn't be able to easily invest that money you had in savings and get over 19% on that money but you could probably get more on that savings money than the next debt if that makes sense. Keep posting please! Love your videos!

I would snowball the 150 from the Citi2 into the Citi 1 and once that one has been paid off, pay myself back. In the meantime if you have the odd amount extra occasionally you can pay it to yourself.

great job Stef! ive never seen an instance where a normal charge card back dated interest, if that was the case id be in a lot more debt lol usually only store cards do that. it looks like u have a good amount saved were something to happen so i would work on the next card charging interest and then pay urself back.

I would absolutely pay back the citi card 1st. The longer it sits at a balance, the more you end up paying in interest so I think of it kind of like having a deadline. I don't want to pay them more than I have to so getting that debt out of the way, then paying yourself back would be my personal choice. You definitely need to pay yourself back, but that's not on a "deadline" so it can take a back seat for the moment 😅🤷🏼‍♀️

I would make sure none of the savings I used are ones I need immediately (like if you have car tags coming up or something else that's absolutely necessary). If so put enough back into savings to cover that, then put the rest on the card. If you don't need any of it right away I would put it all to the credit card.

  • @LivingLifeInTexas1836

I guess personally it would depend… if you don’t pay it back first, do you have enough just in case? How long will it take to pay back/pay off #1? I think either choice works in the long run but it depends on all the elements. I am currently in a season of savings so my one debt payment is just getting the minimum. Once I get to a certain spot I will be switching from savings to debt payment. 🤷🏻‍♀️ either way, good job for making sure you got that one paid off.
