I'm playing PvZ 2 on the iPad, but it's also available for Android. This series will include no cheating or hacks. There really isn't anything shocking about lightning reed beating electric peashooters. After so many years of playing pvz, Zack you should have realized that plants have different projectile speed. Each "zap" from the electric peashooters may be stronger than the one from the reed, but lighting reed's damage is almost instant, regardless of where they are placed on the map. Electric peashooters (and many other plants) have slow projectiles that have to travel across the map to do the final bit of damage. This has always been true since PvZ 1. So even if you do decide to use Electric peashooters-like plants, their placement order can affect your score by a large margin as well.

Ever since I was 7 years old I've been absolutely loving this series around the 200th episode mark, you got me into PVZ2 and it's been my favourite game on mobile! always used to look forward for coming home from school and watch your gameplays while eating dinner haha, so glad I've recently come back to miss out on all the episodes that I stopped and now have some time to start grinding again and enjoy your gameplays getting that nostalgic kid feeling again :) forever will support your Grind and love for the PVZ2 community!

I figure part of what makes the reeds do better is that they have looser conditions for firing. Electric peas, like most peashooter plants, only fire if there is a zombie in their lane, which is not always fulfilled due to the obscene damage output of upgraded plants. Lightning reeds can fire at zombies in their lane or an adjacent one, meaning that they spend far less time loafing around.
I would assume that's also why the meta a-peas-mint setup uses triple peashooter and not some other high damage pea plant; you want your peas firing as often as possible, so the pea with both a decent damage output and the easiest firing condition to fulfill is the best choice.

Some neat little tricks I learned while playing this game:
You can stop Zomboss from charging if he runs into a plant that had just been fed Plant Food. The invincibility frames should stop him from advancing.
The Ultomato resets its firing rate the moment another is planted onto it.
Plants levels 14-19, are ideal for Arena since you may kill off the Zombies faster than they can spawn.
You're wrong I've stopped him most of the time with mastery

Instant use plants is better
