I swear when the words "Hi I'm Dan" come out, my wallet runs down the hallway telling my wife a new video of yours has come out. This was an amazing bit of history that I had very little knowledge of. Thanks for putting in all the hard work for us to watch. Congrats on video "50". Now we gotta get you to 1k subscribers.
Thanks Gunny! At least in this video all of the notes are very affordable. It is a fun collection to put together that you can go deep or shallow! Appreciate the support!
Big congrats on video #50! Way to go! What?! Japanese pesos? Also, I agree, that 2 pesos Philippines silver certificate is _beautiful!_ So many cool notes and history in this video, well done!
Another great video. Congratulations on the fiftieth. Your quality and expertise keep getting better each time. I think your best one was about 3 wks ago, but then I'm prejudiced 😂😂😂.
Congratulations Dan on number 50! I very much enjoyed this two part series and I will have to try to put together a set of those “victory” pesos! Thanks again Dan for awesome content!
Thanks Dean! They are worth getting for the back colors alone then add in the history, story and BEP - just a lot happening for them. Thanks for the support my friend!
When I saw the France notes, I instantly wondered what the back would look like with old school 3-D glasses. I also have a new appreciation for my $10 victory series note. Great info!
Hi Dan! What an amazing video!! It took some time to make this video, for sure!! These Phillipean Victory banknotes are stunning! I will add those to my collection in the future! Best regards!!!
Didn't realize how many WWII notes were put out. I started collecting some of the Philipino notes from WWII. Find it fascinating about Washington being on a couple of them. ---- Some time you mite do a video on CSA notes. I find them interesting also.
That really was quite a look at those notes. I have seen some of them, but never that many of them. Makes me want to go through my stamp collection and see what postage was issued around that time besides my set of Overrun Countries set which featured the Flags of 13 countries in full color, they were so advanced in design for the time that the BEP had to collaborate with the American Banknote Company to produce them.
Another great video! You may think you started a currency channel, my friend - but what you are running now is a financial history channel that features currency. Kudos to that!!
Great video, sir. I've always thought that WWII currency was such a strange occurrence, as the world was in such a precarious situation with counterfeiting, overrun countries, the possibility of many other countries being invaded and then liberated and occupied, and in each case having a need for a seperate currency. And the histories of each of them is remarkable. Some of the Philippine guerilla banknotes have stories of plates being smuggled in via submarine, then a trek over mountains through enemy lines and then printing on whatever paper could be had, and disseminating and being used in secret as having it could get you killed. Thanks again for a great video!
Thanks for the add-on information! I saw that and just didn’t have the tine to go “deeper” (submarine pin?). But there may be another video on that?! Appreciate the support.
Another amazing and educational marvel (video). You just exposed me to a new numismatic item to add to the collection. If there's an award for numismatic collection/ education let me know because you will definitely have my vote. I thoroughly enjoy your content. Continue the great work...
I love this subject, thanks for making this video. I have to say the 5 reichsmark note you showed was not circulating in Germany. That is a reichskreditkassen note, and that series was only for the occupied Territories. Numista is a great reference.
Looking forward to the next 50! 🥂
Thank you sir and so am I!

Thank you sir and hard to believe 50!
@@PolarCurrency All of them are absolute quality!
Btw: An earthquake hit NYC while I was watching this video. Thanks Dan!
Well that doesn’t happen everyday!

Lots of cool stuff Dan. You outdid yourself on this one! Really interesting and informative. ❤❤❤❤❤ Happy 50th! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you my friend! A very interesting time for currency!
I'm also amazed how you find so many notes for your collection.
They’re out there on eBay! And affordable. Thanks Mark!
@@PolarCurrency even got my wife to look at this video - she likes WWII history
Hopefully she’ll still let you watch!

Never thought of that but totally 1950s 3D color! Thanks Stu!

Thanks Roman! Appreciate the support and they really are great notes.
@@PolarCurrency Yes, they really are!!! With best regards!!!
Love the graphic -- it's one of my many board games. Great video! I also have a couple of Japanese occupation notes from the Philippines.
Thanks Emanuel - those JMAs are just strange to me.
Great information Dan, a lot of history in this video. Enjoyed it immensely.
Thanks George - This is one of my favorite videos. Appreciate the kind words.
Great video and congrats on the 50!
Thank you GenX for the support. I think we may part of the last generation to have a connection to that era!
@@PolarCurrency I agree. My grandfather and great uncles all served in both theaters.
I always liked the Philippines money.
They are seriously beautiful. Makes me wonder why they make other countries currency better looking than ours.

I’m debating for the future…going down the obsolete banknote rabbit hole first!
@@PolarCurrencyI've been in the US Obsolete rabbit hole for some time. I love all the cool note in that hole :)

A lot of notes! That would be interesting to see for those countries. Do a video! Thanks Timothy!
@@PolarCurrencyI will be for sure for the 13 stamps, but if I do have more WWII stamps, they will be included.
Great video Dan. Interesting and important historical information
It really is important - I think we all kind of forget about that. Great point.

You know you are not wrong. Especially when I'm working on Treasury Notes...stay tuned for that! Thanks for the kind words and support.
Very nice!
Thank you Benjamin!
I can only think of the one video I have done. The Hawaii note. I enjoyed seeing a lot of the notes I also own.
Awesome work on this video Polar, great job man

The American banknote Co. Also produced notes for the Netherlands 👍
Thanks! Go Dutch! (Wife is 100%)
