The actual paradox with those women is they don't value their own lives enough so people don't respect it either. Even when I ask my mom on what she wanted for herself (keeping us out of question) she hardly has a concrete answer. Though it is not entirely their fault but sadly the sacrifice part is so glorified that women end up paying alot for it without even realising that there can be a balance if they are firm enough to ask for it and work towards it.
