I think I understand what he’s trying to say. The genre of the music is not important but the source of it is. If the purpose of the music is to usher in Gods presence then the instruments, players, singers, and lyrics must be correct. The genre is man made anyway, chords and notes are apart of music use them as needed, it doesn’t have to always sound like a Funeral. The reason why those old songs Felt more anointed were because of the vessel it was coming out of, not because of the genre.
