I find this type of practice very beneficial for understanding how French is used in context, rather than just from books and structured lessons. Its also enjoyable and the pictures help with memory recall. Très bon travail!
Great story! Unfortunately angry people will never understand that they hurt someone, in their head it’s everyone else’s fault. But it’s a subject for another discussion and different channel 😊
I would really like this content if the speaker would read the line twice during the translation. First time: regular speed Second time: slower speed This will really help the listener grasp what is being said and it is also repetition, which has been proven to help let the language stick in the brain. Other than that, good content !! 👍

Do French people use passé simple? Even though the passé simple is a common French verb tense, used even in books for very young French children, it is usually not taught to foreigners until advanced French classes.
Very good question!... Passé simple is a tense used only for literature which is why learning with French stories can be problematic. It's not everyday spoken French. English language doesn't use this tense very much, but here's an example.... ' Once upon a time '... Yes, it is English but it's not used in daily speech. We would probably say something like ' a long time ago '. I'd recommend looking for stories that don't use passé simple
1 - Pour qu'il puisse apprendre à contrôler son mauvais caractère 2 - Le garçon enfonça trente-sept clouds à la premier jour 3 - Ton pére lui dit que la clôture ne sera plus jamais comme avant
There used to be way back in the 70s called disc cortina, I learned a lot from the short time I listened to the lessons, this is way better because if you can hear it’s ok but if you can’t read that’s way different, I like this channel very instructive with stories and the three parts of the lessons 👍🏼😉
1) le pére dit son fils quand tu blesse quelqu'un tu dois tapé un clous sur la cloture 2) il martelé trente-sept clous en son prémier jour 3) le pére dit-il la clôture est jamais la même qunad tu blesse quelqu’un et aprés tu fais sa bonne mais la signe réste
La repondre de la premiere questionnaire est: pour enseigner lui fils comment controler son temperament et l'offenser des autres laisser des cicatrices quelles rester à jamais.
@@sandiedwards4769 thats fair enough not everyone will like it. I think because I watch it in the evenings I feel like it’s going into my subconscious. Also as a woman I would love to have a French accent like that but obviously louder as it wouldn’t be practical in everyday speech.

Is it just me? This is NOT simple French by any means. So many tenses, idioms and complicated constructions. If this is simple French I’m giving up now. Far beyond what I covered at Advanced level in school. I feel discouraged.
Why is the American bloke speaking in that tone ? I'm trying to learn French, I'm not on my death bed. Good lesson for language and life though. I'll certainly listen to more.....and if I do get some bad news, I'll be sure to contact the narrator so he can soothe me into the afterlife.
Perfect! I had studied French before and because I was in an English speaking country, I forgot it. Now this type of practice is the best for me.

Short Story for Beginners!?
To me, This is intermediate level
@@yogagita2365 What matters here is "Passé Simple" in French. That is bookish. Not in use in everyday life.

I appreciate being able to listen to this, but the voices are too soft and the tempo is too fast.
I like that the voices are soft because it’s going in the subconscious mind especially when listening before bed.
@@lyhamroad4431 I find the soft voice very annoying.

I assume it’s AI - it’s a weird, creepy voice.
Why are french stories so morose
Good video but your voice is creepy
