Honestly I'm incredibly sad that we don't get a season four, because I would've loved to see Magnus and Asmodeus' relationship develop. Asmodeus is an incredibly interesting villain and I would've liked to see a semi or full on dark Magnus. Meanwhile even though my poor Malec heart yearns for them to be together again, I immensely enjoy these scenes.

I'm with you. There's something about Asmodeus that tells he really does love Magnus but in a twisted and dark way. I love them together on this bench - the stylists did great job matching their outfits (black and purple theme all along). Magnus's father should be as interesting and multi-dimensional as Magnus himself and I think Jack Yang did great in this role.

I love this scene! It’s adorable. ♥️ The gap between Asmodeus caring demeanor and his evil demonic nature is so delicious. I mean, we know he is totally manipulating Magnus and we can see from his immediate questioning of whether the contract Magnus made with Lorenzo is binding that he is not a trustworthy man. (Seriously, that is such a demon thing to do, trying to get out of a contract. 😂😂) Yet I still get the feeling that he is proud of Magnus and wants to be reconciled with him, if only so they can rule Hell together. I can’t be mad at him for that. And Magnus’ interactions with him are so cute too. Like he wants to stay guarded and mad but Asmodeus is so charming that the guard is starting to slip. And really, it has to be a little bit healing to get some unexpected comfort from an estranged parental figure during a difficult time. I’m sure it’ll come to an ugly end soon enough but I’ll enjoy this while it lasts. And I hope we get to enjoy some dark!Magnus before Malec is reunited. It’s an incredibly exciting prospect! 🖤🖤🖤 Magnus is a warlock after all and, as such, should be allowed to be a little wild and dangerous. I feel like we’re getting a glimpse of the morally suspect and mysterious Magnus from season one. Alec domesticated him quite a lot and it’ll be refreshing to get a reminder that there is more to Magnus than one half of Malec. Malec will get back together soon enough and hopefully this separation will impress upon both that Alec is not just another in a long line of lovers for Magnus, as that seemed to be the main remaining source of discontent in the relationship aside from the loss of Magnus’ magic. I’m excited to see how the writers will manage it. They have pleasantly surprised me so far! 👌🏼👌🏼
I agree that he would have made a good villian if there was season 4. Too bad there's not more of the season left. I don't see Magnus going evil for very long. There's just not enough time left. I am ready for malec to get back together. This break up has gone on long enough. Should be a crazy couple episodes to enjoy before it ends.
