M44-7 has more pronounced kicks, bottom end and higher output. M97 XE has a bigger soundstage with prevalent midrange. (You can really hear the strings and keys) As for the White Label, a bit inferior with these 2 song test but would imagine it would shine with classical. Either way, I would take any of them if they were available as affordable MM cart's.
Tengo un Audio Technica similar de color negro. Modelo AT-LP 120-USB que suena de maravilla. No necesito cambiar la aguja por ninguna otra marca. Solo basta conectarlo a un buen amplificador y buenos blafles, como debe ser. Y listo la calidad en sonido está garantizada.
M 44 ! Un equilibrio justo , el sonido más parecido a lo que suenan en vivís instrumentos. Tengo una Shure M44 E y otra M55 E muy parecidas ambas , tengo un par de púas originales de repuesto y espero que me firmen hasta que yo "estire la pata"
M97 sounds best... no saddle in the midrange like the M44-7 gives and refinement and midrange detail are superior on the M97. A very listenable cartridge that is unfortunately no longer available because Shure has decided for some reason to stop making phono cartridges and styli just because. Even though there is demand, it's not worth Shure's bother because it doesn't make them enough money. To hell with their loyal customer base.
Have to say, the DJ carts held up better than I thought. I suspect either of them would be a good replacement for the stock cart on a Pioneer PLX-500. Ultimately, I'd have to go for the M97xe; for transferring mostly classical stuff to my computer, it's all but a must. The only problem is that the DJ carts are still available where I live; the M97xe probably won't be by the time I'm ready to get the turntable...

Vedo che non sono l'unico ad aver accoppiato la testina Shure M97xe al giradischi Audio Technica AT-LP120usb, in barba alla nota regola che non si dovrebbero abbinare testina ad alta cedevolezza come questo modello della Shure, a bracci ad alta massa, come quello in dotazione all'Audio Technica, eppure anch'io trovo che l'abbinata funzioni piuttosto bene (io uso la testina con lo spazzolino/stabilizzatore abbassato, per la cronaca, ascoltando prevalentemente musica classica), persino col decoroso pre-phono integrato nel giradischi. Infatti, non sarebbe male specificare se, per la prova in questione, si sia usato quest'ultimo od un dispositivo esterno. Piuttosto, volendo livellare alla perfezione questo giradischi, mi piacerebbe capire se abbia i piedini regolabili in altezza o meno, nell'incertezza, temendo di far danni, non ho osato forzarne i piedini, se qualcuno mi riuscisse a togliere eventuali dubbi, gliene sarei grato.
M97 has balanced bass the m44 its for more dancefloor sounds 'disco' i have the both m97 with a tube amp and m44 with transistor amp one for clear detail sound and the other for party =p
M44 7 got more bass white level soung good but the first one sound more clear but not that much bass m44 7 is a battle DJ cartridge needle for scratch n battle DJ but sound quality is the first one
La m44-77 es dj m44g es hifi la m97xe hifi hi end mejores agudos y cuando grabas en Open reel es superior a todas el Calidad del sonido en todas las bandas y pasajes musicales difíciles, lastima están todas descontinuadas desde 2017. Ahora uso GRADO LAB made in USA todavía con precios adecuados y alta calidad y son los inventores del moving coil, luego tomado por los japoneses.
M-44-7 is a harsh sounding cartridge with edgy highs and overblown bass. It is the crudest cartridge Shure has made in recent times with ridiculously high output. Stylus polish and quality cobtrol are pretty bad on this model. It has a distinctive rise ion the bass and mid treble much like the old "loudness" switch on old gear. But then your average dance hound loves that kind of sound. Hey mon it goes loud and has lotsa bass!

M44 - 7 sounds best in my opinion. I clicked back and forth to get a quick comparison and the M44 sounds more open with a more natural sounding vocals

I'd have to rank em 1 97, 2 m44-7, 3 whitelabel. Not sure why but the whlb sounds gated to me, the reverb tail seems to vanish.
Use Baerwald Alignment. Cart will be up at the front, lower overall distortion.

amigo o som é cristalino, nem parece que o som é de um vinil, show de bola, que qualidade.
Discordo de vc o som do vinil sempre foi mais cristalino que CD......muito mais envolvente e graves bem preenchidos.
