I love how Birdramon gets engulfed with fire during her evolution; it fits with the phoenix imagery that's essential to Biyomon's whole line. It makes it look like one form "dies", engulfed in flame, while a new, more powerful form is "reborn" from the previous one's ashes.
You know, the animators actually did it that way because they found it difficult to animate a bird turning into a winged humanoid, same with Togemon to Lilimon and Ikkakumon to Zudomon. Almost half of the digimon had to be hidden because of the design differences between the stages

I love togemon's transformation to lilymon and ikakumon's transformation to zudumon. One is water based and the other is plant based. One transformed via emerging from a flower while the other from a whirlpool. I prefer those over the one from TRI or the reboot.
Only objection I have is that they forgot the burst of fire during Angemon's chou shinka, which makes it unique amongst the other ones. But still pretty damn awesome to be able to see all of them in 3D

Look at the Digivolutions! The bigger they are, they sound like adults and not kids. From Fresh to In-Training to Rookie, they sound like kids, but when they reach the Champion levels, they begin to sound like adults.

These sequences from adult to perfect are by far the best evolution. Wish in Tri were like the old but updated
