I listen sooo much of these bands and I love this. I finally found something in the goth subculture that really suits me. I like other music from the goth scene and literature, but never felt home or like I belonged in the Goth Subculture, because of my music taste and differences and this is such an eye-opener and makes me feel good and like I found something suitable. Thank you so much!
Dead can dance, Dreamside & Trobar de morte have great music too. I like the style, nature elements in jewelery and natural textiles like cotton or rayon.
I love this makeup look so much! I love the pagan goth aesthetic and I don't know why I don't really incorporate it into my style more. Being a folk metalhead also of course got me into many bands that would be considered to be pagan goth such as Faun, The Moon & The Nightspirit, Corvus Corax, Heilung, etc.
this is so interesting because i listen to these bands, especially Heliung, but i never knew of Pagan goth, i always knew about the gothic tribes and how the style kinda lived on, but i never knew that there was a pagan goth thing going on here, it is perfect, i cannot find much info on this topic however but i think you explained it pretty well xc
Thanks for this style explaination Cathy as I'm just following some of the accounts on Instagram already as Velika... like this style and aesthetics in it very much... had some issues wishing some gothic friends all over the world happy halloween or happy christmas and they saying we don't celebrate it we are pagans... your video clears all up now... keep on your good work... love these style videos a lot... have a nice weekend 😉👍🖤
Thanks for the in-depth explanation. It's very informative. I love your aesthetic, btw, it looks very beautiful. The shadow effect with the makeup is gorgeous. I like your piercings, too, btw.
This video has been very useful, thank you very much, Orphea. I like it, and I usually wear black (I'm quite a metalhead). Although I have always felt attraction for the pagan, specifically Norse mythology (I consider myself Ásatrú) and also certain Goth subculture iconographies. You have helped me to unify it, and define this style that is quite close to how I am, and I want to show. Thanks again. Greetings and hugs from Spain.
Skald, Faun are good but Faith and the Muse is my favorite from this list. I have a lot of Pagan & Wiccan friends. I'm Irish so we grew up on Catholic & Druid religions.
I really find this part of the subculture very interesting and intriguing. Some interesting music which I do appreciate, and a very beautiful and creative aesthetic. I love and appreciate all aspects of the Goth subculture as being part of it myself. Glad you covered this part of it. 👍👻💀🌙💜
On the bands, what about Amorphis? They basically have a very pagan-like lyrical content, you know from Kalevala which is basically a Bible for the pagans of Finland. And they are hugely influenced by Paradise Lost on the goth metal side as well as bands like The Doors and Nick Cave on the gothic rock side.
Thank you for this really interesting. I have always liked folk music and have recently been looking for darker folk - type music. You have given me some ideas! I found an artist called Shireen, not sure if she is solo or part of a band but wondered if she would fit into this category?
"Pagan Goths" as in the original Germanic tribes, lol. I usually don't see Wardruna or Heilung as "Goth" but there is no good reason for me to disagree with you here. I find that plenty of people that really understand "Pagan" ideas are also the types to listen to the darker sounding musics. You could add certain Black Metal ideas in as well to this sort of category. You are right in that if they were simply Pagan that they would just look Pagan, and not have the darker aspects (unless representing Hela or something). Those darker aspects, and the Black Metal aspects tip it over into the Goth mode of creation.
Hello there, Corinna. If you decide to come out of the broom closet you will probably be doing it over and over again to various family members and co workers. But here is my first coming out: I was a Jehova’s Witness and was secretly practicing magick and occult philosophies. When my mother made the move to a different community it was the perfect opportunity to make the big coming out leap. That leap had its consequences though, and the trauma of the beating I had from my mother sticks with me to this day. The good news is that by sticking to my calling and my identity my mother found the courage to leave the JWs and now is a practicing Buddhist. When you come out of the broom closet, you never know who you will inspire. If you have any further questions or are interested in knowing more email me at kiddkarloff@gmail.com
Inkubus Sukkubus is a really great Pagan-Rock Band, too! I like this videos, really interesting! 😀
Really??Ive been listening to them for a while and never knew that :D

indeed! we should style on Elftopia like this one day!
@@Orphea333 oooo yes I agree! :D
They are not Goth. Inkubus Sukkubus was a Pagan Goth band or The Moors.

Thank you! I'm glad this helps!
Daemonia Nymphe is also very good. Influenced by ancient greek music! I love these series btw😊🖤
Thank you for the recommendation ^^ glad you like the series 😊
Not a Goth band at all.

Thanks for sharing, I didn't realize this was a thing and it's what I relate most
Glad you found this!
I never thought half those bands would be goth I found a couple of them long before I looked into other bands associated with the subculture.
Heilung are the best! Great video as always 🖤
thank you so much!
I can't believe it's been a month already. Anyway I really love the make up in this video beautiful as always. Keep doing what you do
thank you!

glad you like it! If you want, feel free to share more info on you religions, I know barely anything about them...
@@Orphea333 I mainly stay with Goth Rock,Darkwave, Ethereal & Industrial but pagans, wiccans & druids share a lot of similar studies.

Yes, I definitely think she could fit this genre as well, I like her vibe a lot!
👽❤️
I like it so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
thank you!
OMG, i was trying to find run by skald for ages, but kept running into trollabundin
thnx for sharing
you are welcome ^^
I purchased tickets to Wardruna for this year. Looks like this won’t be happening I guess.
I hope something will happen this year... All concerts I was attending are canceled too...
Omg look at you so stunning !
thank you!

If they were purely Pagan it'd be this, just pure indigenous music and fashion: th-cam.com/video/aym8WVLsUi8/w-d-xo.html
22 seconds after you upload, lol. 🖤
Can you do a video on your religion? Was it difficult “coming out” to people and your family that you weren’t a Christian?
I could try one day! and no, not at all, they are not christians with deep rooted beliefs either, so they did not really care too much :)

I listen to that kind of music too. But I'm not a pagan, I'm Messianic
Okay this threw me out I thought this was about the Germanic tribe the goths.
I am a Christian Goth.
Get to the goth lol.
Goth gfs are best gfs
